Think! Creamy Peanut Butter High Protein Bar - 10 bars, 2.1 oz

I used to be a big fan of Think bars, but no longer. Upon opening the bar, I got an overpowering scent of mold - I know it sounds weird, but yes, mold. The bar itself wasn't moldy, but it smelled like mold. I proceeded to eat it because it didn't look spoiled, but it tasted so much worse than it used to. The peanut flavor left a burnt aftertaste in my mouth. The texture is worse, too. And it tastes more artificial than it used to. I don't know what you all have changed since your formulation from a couple years ago, but I miss the old Think!

As others have stated, there is a chemical smell to this product now, similar to ammonia. I have purchased this flavor twice from the supermarket in the last few weeks and returned the first box thinking the product had gone off or was a bad batch. Today I tried again at a different market, and opened it to find the same ammonia-like odor. I will be throwing these away.

These bars are a convenient and portable way to meet my protein needs. I especially like the fact that they are sugar free. They are very effective at satiating hunger and help mitigate junk food cravings. This bar is a good choice for someone looking to meet their macro nutrient goals without a ton of extra calories from less desirable sources.

This is my favorite protein bar and I’ve tried them all. Pros: Great flavor, decent protein level (wish it was 25-30), great texture (most bars get this wrong), no aftertaste, no bellyache. Cons: protein level could be higher; misleading packaging (does not show an image of the bar and is easily confused with their other peanut flavor that has no chocolate coating and tastes horrible! Lastly, price needs to either come down or the protein quantity needs to increase. Too many new options (plus drinks) are mimicking the zero sugar + high protein criteria. I’m already starting to diversify.

By far my and my husbands favorite protein bar for many years. Great flavor for the low carb/high protein/calorie ratio. Can't be beat!

Throughout my years of hiking and backpacking, I have tried several varieties of protein bars. Most of them were gross. These Think! bars are the best I have tried! The peanut butter flavor is one of my favorites.

They are packed with yummy peanut butter flavor and they’re lacking that strange, grainy flavor and texture that protein bars sometimes have. Definitely will purchase myself.

Apparently this is a known issue and it STILL hasn’t been resolved. Smells like mold. Had I known before I bought them, I would have never wasted my money. The smell is so repugnant that it wafts across the living room. My husband, who doesn’t always have the best sense of smell, asked me what the moldy smell was. It was this. It took one small bite and I’m hoping I don’t get sick from it. Couldn’t tell you if it tasted “off” because the smell was masking my sense of taste.

We eat them every day so trying out a new brand was great for us. I love a good peanut butter protein bar and this one was pretty good. Smooth and creamy with a nice coating of chocolate. Some protein bars have a chalky taste, but this is not one of them. no added sugar so this product isn’t overly sweet and with a high protein content kept me full for hours. Would definitely recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s Taste Fine, Just Not a Fan of Texture… this protein bar is pretty good. It’s not chalky or have an aftertaste like some other protein bars. My only gripe is the actual texture of the filling inside the bar. Me personally, I like to have way more crunch inside of bars and there’s too much softness for me. I will say I do love the convenience of being able to grab a bar and get in a decent amount of protein very easily.

I feel like the chocolate layer could’ve been a bit thicker because the peanut butter protein layer is very thick. These bars are a hearty snack perfect for after or before exercising. I far as flavor goes I like them it is the texture of the middle that throws me off. I definitely won’t be changing my protein bar brand but I’ll grab for these if that’s worth available. I have sampled many of Think’s other varieties and I would say this is one of the better ones.
