‘The Thomastik Rondo Gold violin strings combine easy playability with a warm and brilliant sound that raises your musical expressiveness to a new level. Compared to the popular Rondo series, the Rondo Gold edition offers a significantly warmer and more brilliant sound that is convincing in both solo and orchestral playing. The Rondo Gold strings are made from carefully selected materials that are known for their exceptional sound quality and playability. The RG01 E-string made of carbon steel, tin-plated or gold-plated, offers a tension of 8.2 kg (18.1 lbs) or 8.0 kg (17.6 lbs) and ensures a clear, precise response and brilliant projection. The RG02 A-string with synthetic core and aluminium wound has a tension of 5.6 kg (12.3 lbs) and offers a balanced sound with excellent intonation. The RG03A D and RG04 G strings, both with synthetic core and silver wound, have a tension of 4.7 kg (10.4 lbs) each and deliver a warm, full sound that comes into its own in any playing situation. The RG100 set includes all five strings, with the RG01 E string also included.
