Thule Gauntlet TGSE2358 Carrying Case Sleeve for 13" to 14" Apple Notebook Black

I bought this yesterday and it’s the best sleeve I’ve ever had.

I’ve had this case for about 5 years. Yesterday my backpack flew open on my motorbike and my laptop in the Thule case went for a tumble at 75mph. Screen cracked and case is no longer usable. It protected it enough that I was able to salvage my data. For tumbling down the pavement at 75mph, I’d say it did a pretty dang good job.

Zipper broke after nearly two years of very light use.

Ideal for MacBook pro 14in. Same awesome quality as my other Thule equipment.

This is the best laptop protection sleeve available on the market. If you need more protection, you're looking at a Pelican case designed for taking computers to construction sites. Provides very good fall protection, especially at the corners. One design note - I never liked the full zippers, I wish just the top zipped closed. To accommodate, I usually just unzip so I can pull the laptop out of the top. I've never used the case in clamshell mode and you should never close your laptop on the straps as it'll break the screen. 1 star reduced because like the sleeve that proceeded the full-zipper model, the rubbery material tends to degrade for me after 2-3 years of use and I have to replace it. The zipper will probably hold up better than the velcro did before. It's a bit wasteful, I wish it cost $10-20 more and lasted 5-6 years.
