Q: How is the cat's urine disposed of?
A: There is an absorbent disposable pee pad below the pellet tray
submitted byBrbK - 1 year agoA: Thanks for your question. Cats prefer a clean area to do their business. If you’re using clumping litter, we recommend scooping and tossing clumps every day. Every week or so, dump out the entire box and wash with warm, soapy water. When you refill, be sure to use at least 2-3 inches of non-clumping cat litter or 3-4 inches of clumping litter to allow your cat plenty of room to dig and bury. Also, Tidy Cats Litter is not flushable. Even if a litter is labeled flushable, it can cause plumbing problems. Bag your old litter and toss it in the trash, not in the toilet. Q: This litter is made of Zeolite which appears to have several risks. Plz advise. There is no cure for kidney disease. Per Wikipedia: Animal studies suggest potential harm to the kidneys + may cause digestive distress, dehydration, muscle pain.
A: Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns about the Tidy Cats Breeze Original Pellets. We want to assure you that the zeolite used in our pellets is safe for cats when used as directed. It is a natural mineral that’s been carefully selected and processed for use in pet products. While we understand that some sources mention potential risks with certain forms of zeolite, the type used in our litter is non-toxic and not ingested by cats during normal use. If your pet has specific health concerns or sensitivities, we always recommend consulting your veterinarian. We'd like to provide further help. When you have a chance, please give us a call at 800-835-6369. We're available Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. (CT).
