Q: Why does my candle spew a ton of black smoke? How can I correct this?

A: Thank you for your question! If you're looking for a clean burning experience, we recommend using our TIKI® Brand BiteFighter Clean Burn torch fuel. It provides proven mosquito repellency and is plant based which results in less soot and smoke. Additionally, please make sure the wick on your torch is exposed to the correct height. For pole torches we recommend a 3/4" wick exposure and for tabletops we recommend a 1/2" exposure. Likewise, you can trim your wick even shorter than recommended to create a smaller flame which will result in less soot and smoke. We hope this helps! -TIKI Brand

I’ve had it for ~2yrs, it just sucks. I would never buy again. I flip the whole wick regularly & keep it indoors when not in use but it never just WORKS. Always lights a TINY barely visible flame for maybe 20min then goes out no matter how many fuel changes, how many wick switches, the weather outside, etc. I hate it. It’s done nothing at all for me. I wish I realized how bad it was before I missed the return window.

I like the look of this tiki torch, but in reality once you’ve used it a dozen times it gets harder and harder to remove the lid to refil. It’s also a very messy process. Tiki have better options.

Ordered 2. Both arrived with chipped and damaged bases. Wrapped in brown paper for shipping so I'm not sure if they were damaged during shipping or prior to shipping. Black base appears to be plastic or resin and chipped easily exposing white underneath. Not sure how well the bases will hold up if they chip easily. Disappointing because I liked the simple design.
