Richer and tangier than competitors
As someone who buys pre-shredded cheese primarily for weeknight convenience, I've cycled through a lot of brands. Most of them are dry, flavorless, and have a melt that can only be described as "sad." Tillamook's Italian Blend is one of the few that manages to escape the usual shredded cheese fate.

The best pizza cheese.
I originally bought this because the shreds are larger than some other brands. I was trying a wood-fired pizza experiment (seeing if using frozen thickly shredded cheese would work without it cooking too quickly or getting too tough like thinner shreds do). Turns out, it works super well! I now keep a few bags frozen and sprinkle it on both my wood-fired pizzas and those I just make in the house oven. It has a nice flavor and is reasonably stretchy when hot. This is just personal preference, but if it was organic and didn't contain natamycin it would be my perfect cheese. It's the best pre-shredded I've found for pizza, though!
