These boots are highly praised for their comfort, durability, and support, making them ideal for various activities such as hiking, gardening, and daily wear. Many guests appreciate the ample toe room and ankle stabilization, while some note the need for a wider fit. Despite a few concerns about traction and waterproofing, the overall consensus is that these boots are a reliable choice for anyone seeking long-lasting footwear.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchase the Timberland Chocorua boot for all my staff. In our line of work, as animal keepers, our footwear need to be safe, durable and look good, too. This boot covers all the bases!

Never Not buying Timberlands

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I well wore through my last pair of Timberlands - there was no grip left on that shoe! I thought about going to another cheaper brand, but my Timberlands always last me so long, are so reliable, and always comfortable. This pair is the same. Takes a minute to break them in, but worth the money for sure. And though I just get them for the utility, I always get compliments on how good they look - so bonus!

Shoe hurts toes

I want to immediately return this boot as it hurts my toes. Even with bpretty small feet the regular version is very tight and extremely uncomfortable and suffocating. I cannot walk in them for more than an hour. not sure how everyone has positive comments. maybe i should have ordered the wider version.

Extremely Disappointed - Sole Completely Disintegrated
1 out of 5 stars

I've been buying and wearing Timbs for over 30 years, but after this experience with the Field Boot, I'm not sure I'll ever purchase Timbs ever again. The second time I wore these boots, the sole completely disintegrated while I was out. Pieces of the sole started breaking apart as I stepped out of my car, leaving me embarrassed - to add, I was an hour away from home and I had to find a department store just to buy another pair of shoes because the boots were unusable. By the time I walked into a store to buy replacement shoes I had no outsoles left - it looked like I was wearing wrestling shoes. Literally ruined my lunch date. This is not the quality I've come to expect from Timberland. I've always trusted this brand for its durability, but this experience has completely shattered my confidence in their products. Save your money and avoid this boot at all costs. If this is what Timberland calls "quality" now, they've lost a lifelong customer.

I have been buying these boots for 6 years. Once a year, every year. I am adult woman, but buy the boys for several reasons: 1.Price point 2. Women's boots are more fashion than work, and the ankle height is too high for me and I develop ankle bone pain. 3. I have to, because they wear out on the seams every time. Never the soles, never the leather, the seams break apart at the lacing edges after about 11 months of daily use. I only wear them to walk the dogs twice a day about 5 miles a day, 7 days a week. I love the boots, but hte consistent breakdown is disappointing. But, I'll keep buying until I find something that fits my ankle and foot,

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work LONG days, I buy a new pair about every six months because I work at a horse farm. They are very comfortable and they withstand water, snow, ice, and muck. It is worth it to me to purchase more frequently because I believe comfort is priority. I could probably buy new insoles but these boots really go through a lot and never fall apart, just end up stiff and soles end up lumpy. Again, well worth the money! Bought my first pair 2 yrs ago. I am a women's size 6 but I purchase the Youth size 5 to save money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the product. Comfortable, waterproof and a good-looking boot. I normally do not wear a wide but found this a little tight through the width. Boot is breaking in so I am keeping them but next pair I will do the wide.

Best consumable hiking boot at the price

I have bought these boots 10 times and never regretted it. I am very tough on shoes. I have them resoled with harder rubber when they wear down. The upper lasts forever at the stitching, but delaminates at the glued toe, every time. The speed hooks break and the metal thread holes pop out. I have my cobbler swap them to eyelets. I keep a pair of broken in hikers built and ready to go, and working on a second build to have as a mailable reserve pair for a trip on the AT. I keep two old pairs, one as painting shoes, the other for tar work. The rest were throwaways before I found a cobbler. The inside liner lasts forever. The insoles need to be swapped with the honeycombed Timberland Pro versions. Feels like walking on air. They can be totally saturated from wading through water and will air dry hanging on a pack while wearing slippers, but will dry on your feet if you have to. Pull the insoles out to speed the process. No break in period needed and they won't chafe your feet (if your feet are broken in). The biggest problem is the toe delaminating, it's inevitable. I am going to try one of the Loctite 400 series bottled glues, and possibly the Loctite PL 400 Subfloor tube to securely reattach the rubber, permanently, because the cobbler won't touch that. Again, I've spent over 1k on these shoes over the past decade and there isn't a better all purpose shoe. I believe in fixing things because you can usually make them better in the process. Would be a 5 star shoe if they fixed the lacing and toe.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wear the chocorua boots on a daily 2-mile walk on dirt roads with my dog. I then come home and have them on the remainder of the day for all the work on our property. They are comfortable from the first time you put them on - I found there was no 'breaking in' period. With my large feet, it was a blessing to find them in my size. I want to order another pair, but they are out of stock in my size. Hoping they have them again soon.
