TIME TIMER 30 Minute MOD Education Edition ⁠— Visual Timer with Desktop Software and Silent Operation (30min)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I would say we like this timer a lot! We got it for our toddler, for whom we CONSTANTLY set a timer (30 second timer! 2 minute timer! 5 minute timer! 10 minute timer!) during transitions which overall is a strategy that really helps her. This timer has a bunch of benefits: it's super visual for her to see time ticking down even though she can't read numbers yet, the 10 minute max is exactly what we use it for so it makes even a 1 minute timer feel like a meaningful chunk of time, it's colorful and fun, it's exceedingly simple to use. There are a couple aspects that are just part of the design, but not my favorite design choice for how we use it. 1) There's no way to "lock in" the time -- you can adjust the timer up or down any time including once it's ticking. This is a problem only because it looks/feels like a toy, so once we start a timer we have to keep it in sight but out of reach or she wants to change the time up and down. 2) The timer going off entails beeping twice or so and then stopping on its own. This is generally good enough, but if we've moved to playing somewhere slightly further away (see above for why we can't just keep it on the table or something with us) sometimes I hear it but it doesn't register in her engaged toddler brain immediately and having the option at least to have it keep beeping would give her more of a chance to respond. Those keep it from being a perfect 5 stars, but on the whole it's a solid product for our exact use case.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love having the longer time option with this timer! It is so useful for me to use while working, doing chores, cooking, reading, literally anything. Plus the purple is a bit nicer on the eyes!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This timer works really well with my 4 yo and his time management skills. It is easy him to use and is easily visualized from across the room. He likes to choose the amount of time himself. We put the bunny cover on it and he loves it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent use for those who use the Pomodoro method. Use this timer for many types of circumstances. Orange color stands out from long distances. This summer, we even used it to set time for kids to get out of pool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just wish there was a way to change the alarm tone or at least have it only beep once. Kind of a jarring four beep sequence as is. It's beautifully made, and as a huge fan of single-function appliances it's nearly perfect.

I love this timer. I especially love that the battery screws on so my students can't get at the battery. This is the most durable of the time timers that I have used.

How is this version different from the PLUS edition in regards to the ticking sound - does this one have a louder ticking sound ? I'm looking for.a timer with ticking sound. Ideally that can be turned on and off.

It's simple to operate but should still have come with some explanations. How is it supposed to behave at the end of the timed period? Mine sometimes rings twice between brief intervals, sometimes several times, sometimes seemingly indefinitely. This unreliability is annoying.

Does the Time Timer MOD feature "silent operation" like the PLUS? I had an older model and got quite tired of the ticking sound.

The MOD looks much more compact than the PLUS, are you able to adjust volume of the alert or switch on & off only for the MOD?
