Did you know there are different kinds of fatigue - which means there are different ways to combat your exhaustion? Being able to identify where your tiredness is coming from is a game changer to addressing the issue - and this book has helped me do that. We don't have to live tired, we were promised more! This book offers the problem and promise of the different types of exhaustion and practical steps to fight living tired. This is a spiritual battle and one that will require us to live differently than the world - but it is a fight worth fighting to live under the banner of rest and peace that was purchased for us on the cross.

This is a book that my mind, body and soul needed. The title says it well. If you are tired of being tired you will find hope, faith and simple practices to find real rest. Jess Connolly helps you see which types of exhaustion you are experiencing - spiritual, physical, mental or emotional - and guides you in how to implement small tweaks in your life to help address these. I wept as I read this book because I am so tired and the message was one of hope. I felt both understood and encouraged that I can find freedom from living in a state of exhaustion and overwhelm. I believe this book will change many lives.

Jess gets right to the heart of the matter of exhaustion. As a single mama, coach, and entrepreneur, I have contended with shame over my tiredness- thinking that I should just be able to do more, rest better, revamp my habits, etc. In Tired of Being Tired, Jess helps us name our exhaustion, recognize that it isn’t our fault, and calls us to embrace realistic, biblical, lasting rhythms of rest. I am grateful for her transparency in her own journey to rest and her willingness to share God’s goodness and design for rest with us. This book is for me and it is for you.

This book is a must read for every woman! I was desperate for this message and looking for help to find, real sustainable rest in the midst of my busy life. So often I feel like the advice out there for women who are overwhelmed and exhausted is “find something to quit”, but what happens when there’s legitimately nothing that can be removed from your plate in this season? Tired of Being Tired is so practical and so encouraging. Jess is the best coach and I truly felt like she was cheering me on while reading this book. Identifying the different types of fatigue and the practical solutions for each type is a game changer.

WOW! A life-changing book that speaks difficult, countercultural truth with grace and compassion. Giving an in-depth understanding of exhaustion and its root causes while also providing gentle, easy-to-implement life changes to live more restful. Although I went in skeptical of how much I would learn/grow/change through this book, it has already transformed how I view rest and how I pursue rest intentionally.

If you are tired, this book gives both the biblical truth about out being tired and practical strategies for addressing our fatigue. Jess is honest, relatable, and gentle with us as she guides us to a different way of being. While it is written with a female audience in mind, I think anyone could find help and hope for their weary souls in its pages.

Tired of Being Tired is the book all women need! Our culture is telling us that tired is a way of life and that is just not true. There are ways to live fully awake and love our lives again. This fast and engaging read walks through 4 types of exhaustion and how to fight each one with real practical tools. Reading this book has reminded me that slowing down and having margins will produce far more in my life than hustling every day.

This book is so eye-opening for me-even the explanation of different types of exhaustion are already helping me understand rest differently. I love Jess's familiar tone, her authentic story-telling style, her heart for her readers. I have read and listened some of her other books, like Breaking Free from Body Shame, and in this book she again brings forward practical ways to live a life of meaning and purpose while still honoring our boundaries and human limitations. Must read for all who feel tired so we can learn to rest before we work, not work to earn rest 🩵

In a culture of wearing busyness as a badge of honor, it is life changing to realize that not only does God give me permission to rest, it's an invitation! This author comes from such a relatable position that is completely rooted in God and His Word. This book is such an easy read and I can't help but wonder how the author is so easily able to peer into my life! :) Thanks Jess for being such an amazing Bible teacher and advocate for women (see her other book on body shame too!).

This book is one of the most highlighted books l've read in a while. I keep sending quotes and screenshots to friends and mentioning it in conversations constantly as tiredness comes up a lot. I think one of the best parts of this book is that there are small, tangible changes. It's like having a cheerleading saying - start small and keep going. So many things resonate with me that there are times I want to close the book because it hits so close and I need time to process. This is definitely a book I'm going to read again and go through much slower while I process more deeply certain areas. Each type of exhaustion - spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional - has two chapters so if a certain area is the key area of exhaustion, you can jump to that area.

Like every other woman I know, I am chronically exhausted. I have been fighting my way back from a point of total burnout at the beginning of the year, and this book couldn’t have come my way at a better time. Jess breaks down the different types of exhaustion and tiredness we feel (because we experience our tiredness in different ways). She approaches it from a biblical perspective, yet there is no shame here. She makes a case for God not wanting us to live these nonstop, crazy lives. He wants us to rest! Truly, one of my favorite parts of this book are the Bible verses throughout, inviting me to rest and to thrive. I was blessed to be a part of the launch team for this book, so I was given an advance digital copy to read, but I am so eager for my physical copy to come in so that I can highlight it like crazy!
