About the Book
When Beth Tremayne stumbles across an old map, she pursues the excitement she's always craved. But her only way to piece together the clues is through Lord Sheridan--a man she insists stole a prized possession. As they follow the various leads, they uncover a story of piratical adventure, but the true treasure is the one they discover in each other. From the Back Cover
1906Beth Tremayne has always been drawn to adventure. During her childhood, she fed that desire by exploring every inch of the Isles of Scilly. Now, after stumbling across an old collection of letters and a map buried on her family's property, she's found more adventure than she ever anticipated in the hunt for pirate treasure. But in order to discover where the clues lead, she must search alongside Lord Sheridan, a man she finds insufferable.
Sheridan has spent years pursuing whatever archaeological interests pique his imagination. And when he discovers that Beth's search connects with one of his far-removed pirate ancestors, he can't help getting involved. Plus, he finds her irresistible, even though she insists he stole a prized possession of hers.
As they work together following different clues and drawing closer to danger, they start to piece together a story of tragic love and piratical adventure. But which treasure will bring the greatest surprise--the one they find in each other or the one just out of their reach?

Sweet Romance

To Treasure an Heiress by Roseanna M. White is the second book in her Secret of the Isles series. Beth Tremayne loves a good adventure. After finding a map and some old letters she is sure that she is on the trail of her greatest adventure – pirate treasure! When danger comes calling, she must grudgingly accept the help of Lord Sheridan; a man she can’t abide. The story starts out with Beth being a brat. She eventually settles down to someone you can tolerate. Lord Sheridan on the other hand was awesome. I loved his sense of humor! There were some great side characters too. After a very slow start the story gained momentum about a hundred pages in and turned out be an interesting read. I received this book from the author for my honest review.

This is the second in the Secrets of the Isles series, which takes place in the British Isles of Scilly. I'm sure most people haven't heard of this place, so it makes a new and exciting setting for historical fiction. Beth and Sheridan were both minor players in the first book in the series, but this book is the story of their budding romance. Sheridan is a hoot - no filter between his thought and what he says when it comes to Beth. He is head over heels from the moment they meet. However, she has the totally opposite reaction! It was so much fun to see Beth's feelings change over the course of the story. The backstory is an unscrupulous race to find historical artifacts related to the Pirate Prince and how the desire to find this treasure puts them all in danger. I feel like the first story had more of an air of mystery than this one did, but Sheridan makes the story, so I didn't miss it! I can't wait to see who the next story features and get to see how Beth and Sheridan's love has grown as well.
Fabulous read filled with adventure and roance

To Treasure an Heiress is a delightful read! Roseanna M. Whie writes stories with the best characters, and she does nothing less than perfection with this novel. Returning to the Isles of Scilly, the story focuses on Beth Tremayne, the beautiful young adventuress and treasure hunter, and Lord Sheridan, her nemesis turned romantic interest. Seeing their relationship change and develop was so fun. Lord Sheridan falls for Beth and is such a fun and humorous character! I couldn't help but root for him to win his heart's love. Beth is spunky and independent, always ready to explore and discover. New characters to the series include Senara, who returns home to the Isles after making a choice she regrets, and Ainsley, Lord Sheridan's valet, wise and patient and strong in his faith. Rounding out the character list are returning family and friends from the first novel of the series, The Nature of a Lady, tying the books together beautifully but also allowing for stand-alone enjoyment. I recommend doing yourself a favor and diving into both books! To Treasure an Heiress is more than a romance; it is also filled with excitement as the race to find the pirate treasure gives just the perfect amount of excitement. This story, like everything Ms. White writes, transports the reader and is totally engaging. Every aspect is well researched and so authentic. Totally fabulous read and I can't wait for book #3 in the series. I highly recommend reading this series! I volunteered to participate to read and review a copy of this novel provided by Bethany House Publishing. All thoughts about the novel are my own opinion.

I so thoroughly enjoyed book two in The Secret of the Isles: To Treasure an Heiress by @roseannamwhite. Sheridan is THE BEST character, and I love the relationship between him and Beth. It didn’t take me long to speed through this one! Romance. Pirates. Buried treasure. It’s a gem to be sure.
A Treasure, Indeed!

Roseanna M. White excels in creating characters that I'd like to know, placing them in exciting adventures that I'll never have, and then, making me believe that it's all possible. I was sure, after reading The Nature of a Lady, that White couldn't possibly write another book that I would enjoy more. Wrong! I was so very wrong, because this second book in the Secrets of the Isles series is filled with mystery, danger, and adventure, and I absolutely loved it! I also adored the romance between Beth Tremaine and Lord Sheridan. She's full of spirit and wants nothing to do with him, but he finds her irresistible, and he's willing to admit it. He is funny and charming, and this unlikely pair soon realizes a special connection that is stronger and deeper than just searching for a lost pirate treasure. To Treasure an Heiress is wonderful historical fiction with breathtaking romance, great supporting characters, a beautiful setting, and an inspiring faith message of forgiveness and redemption. It's a delightful read and I can't wait to learn more about Emily and Bram, two intriguing characters who deserve their own story. I received a copy of this book from the author and publisher. There was no obligation for a favorable review. These are my own thoughts.
An exciting treasure hunt with a perfect hero!

Pirate gold, ancient ruins, mysterious folklore, dastardly villains, an adoring hero, and a treasure hunt are all combined into one enchanting book that I absolutely adored. The treasure hunt continues in To Treasure an Heiress, which is the second installment in The Secrets of the Isles series by Roseanna M. White. I thought the first book was excellent and I loved it, but I think I enjoyed this second book even more! Lord Sheridan is the hero of the tale and is intellectual yet hilarious with a wonderfully entertaining personality. Oh, how I laughed out loud while reading because of Lord Sheridan’s sense of humor! Better yet, he adores the heroine Beth Tremayne and is so protective of her that it makes you want to swoon! The book’s plot is action-packed with plenty of rescues and mysteries to keep the reader riveted until the very end. I wholeheartedly give this amazing book five stars, and I cannot wait for the next installment in the series! I received a copy of this book from the publisher for promotion purposes. My review is honest and reflects my own thoughts. I really did love it!
Amazing and Adventurous Historical Romance!

This book was amazing, to say the least! Sigh! Oh gosh, I’m in love with Sheridan! I definitely wouldn’t think I would say that when I read the first installment of “The Secrets of the Isles” Series. But getting to know him in this book totally changed my mind about him. And I loved the enemies to lover's trope. I always love how a person can change the opinion of another in like 180 degrees just by spending time and getting to know him/her, and by having one goal in common! This is 1906 and the book continues where the first one left. Even if you can read it as a standalone, there is so much you will miss if you don’t read the first one, I think. Especially in the character development part. There are many wonderful side characters to love! Elizabeth -Beth- Tremayne has an adventurous spirit. So different from her older brother Ollie, the vicar in the Isles of Scilly. On the first book, she discovers an old collection of letters from a Pirate Prince, and a map buried on her grandfather’s property. She contacts a person that betrays her and puts her life and that of her family in danger. Marquess Lord Theodore Sheridan, commonly going by just “Sheridan” is an antique collector and lover. He has a vast estate in mainland (I love how they express like that of Great Britain). And he definitely loves adventures too -that’s one thing in common with Beth- so he initially travels to the Isles of Scilly with the Earl of Telford, his best friend, to visit Telford’s sister, Libby, who happens to be his own fiancée, or so he thinks, who is vacationing in the Isles, where her brother suspects something is strangely afoot. There, he not only discovers he is no longer, or never was, engaged to Libby, but also that Beth Tremayne was the original owner of his latest antique acquisition -paid for-, a small trunk with Pirate Prince Rupert’s crest on it, and he just happens to be a long-distance descendant of the said Pirate Prince. He wants to discover everything about this ancestor of his. But for Beth, he’s nothing but a thief, because she never meant to sell it, she was betrayed by her friend’s family. But circumstances -we may as well say Providence-, and maybe a strong interest in finding clues to the Pirate’s lost treasure, throws them together in this dangerous search, and the sparks that fly are not one sided for sure. Adventure awaits them, but is the treasure worth everything, even risking the strong love that’s surging in their hearts? The plot was amazing, it kept my interest from page one until the end, with such twists and turns, the unsolved mystery, the danger… The best of all were definitely the characters, main and secondary, but I’ll concentrate on the main. Sheridan was so much fun and naïve, a bit clumsy with words, but he was so endearing, I fell fast for him. Beth is quick witted and strong minded, and I loved their verbal spars. They made me smile. The romance was clean, enemies to lovers (well enemies only on Beth’s side), and I loved how Sheridan’s big heart won Beth over and melted her defenses as they got to really know each other as they are. The historical part was so detailed and masterfully narrated, it felt so real. The different expressions of the islanders. My best endearment word is now “dearovim”, I love that! And also, the faith inspired message of a Loving God who cares about you and your destiny, including your miseries, mistakes and all, and to learn to trust Him, even when things become almost impossible. The need to forgive and being forgiven. The value of true love against anything else, especially wordly treasures. So many things! It was a fantastic book I can’t recommend highly enough! It made me feel as if I was inside the story, loving each character and suffering with their struggles and trials. I’m in love with this series!
A New Favorite

Filled with daring adventure, mystery, humor and romance, To Treasure an Heiress is everything that I could have hoped for and more. Beth Tremayne has always been fascinated with the stories of treasure on her beloved isles, and she knows that the search for Mucknell's treasure is far from over. But with the search for treasure has come all sorts of trouble in the form of outsiders in pursuit of the same treasure, as well as a certain Lord Sheridan. One of my very favorite books so far by this author, I loved Sheridan's whimsical optimism and pure heart, his chapters always brought a smile to my face. But it was Ainsley that was my favorite, and I hope to see more of him and Senara in the future as their story was one of my favorite parts of the book. I loved how Ainsley is so open about his faith, quick to offer comfort and wisdom, yet human himself he isn't immune to doubts. Full of adventure and daring, I loved how the dynamic slowly changed between Beth and Sheridan as she begrudgingly lets him work with her, as well as their humorous banter. It was an absolute delight to be in Sheridan's head, he is a rare man indeed, childlike in some ways, yet so wise in others. One of my favorite scenes in the whole book was when he showed that he had been listening to Ainsley all along. Overall, there was not one thing that I didn't love about this story, excellent plot, captivating characters that brought a smile to my face, high adventure, dear Mamm-wynn, a lovely comedic touch, and thoughtfully rendered messages of faith. Beth is a daring heroine, but even she needs help sometimes. And I just wanted to give Senara a hug to help her through everything on her mind. You will not want to miss this fantastic new favorite from Roseanna M. White, it is a five start read all the way through! I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is the second book in “The Secrets of the Isles” series and the second book I have read by this author. The main characters in this novel are Beth Tremayne and Lord Sheridan. Beth does not like Lord Sheridan in the beginning which makes for some very interesting interactions. How all the characters are connected also makes the story that much more intriguing. For example, Libby was supposed to get engaged to Lord Sheridan because her brother was trying to arrange it. Between those two things and the hunt for treasure, you will not be able to put this book down. A lot of times historical fiction will read slow for me but not so in this case. I felt like this book read quickly. If you love a good adventure novel with some romance thrown in, then this is the book for you. Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book in order to give an honest review.

To Treasure an Heiress is the second installment from Roseanna M White’s series, The Secrets of the Isles. I had the pleasure of reading the first book, The Nature of a Lady. I really enjoyed that one and could not possibly think this one would be even better read. I have to admit that I was wrong. This one is by far my favorite I have read by this author to date. I adored Beth and Sheridan as a duo. They made a great team together as they try to solve the mystery. This is one of those books that are not easily predictable and made me to keep reading until I was finished. I had no problem reading the whole book in one sitting. I am giving To Treasure an Heiress a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy reading clean historical romance. I look forward to the next book from The Secrets of the Isles series. I received a copy of To Treasure an Heiress from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

Oh. My. Word! I think this might be my favorite Roseanna M. White book yet, and that's saying a lot! This review could be wrapped up in one name...Sheridan! Lord Sheridan was perfect. He's witty and fun, adventurous and romantic, wise, loyal, and protective. I could go on and on, but trust me when I say, Theodore Howe, Marquess of Sheridan is an absolutely delightful hero who had me literally laughing out loud! Then we have Beth, Miss Elizabeth Tremayne. If you haven't read The Nature of a Lady, go back and do that! There's where we first get glimpses of her. She is an absolute delight in this book. Her energy, spunk, and desire to follow the Lord are contagious. I loved how she vowed to do better in her spiritual walk, then would mess up and have to start again. Aren't most, if not all, of us like this?? On top of all of that, the history, the treasure hunt, the supporting characters...oh Sanara, Ainsley, & Mamm-Wynn! I'll leave those there for you to find out for yourself. Because I definitely recommend you do that! I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
Delightful Historical Romance

To Treasure an Heiress reminds me once again, why Roseanna M. White is one of my historical fiction go-to authors. In this second book in The Secrets of the Isles series, with Pirate Prince lore, Druid cairns, old friends, and new ones too, readers will find themselves fascinated by life on the Scilly Isles, off the southwestern coast of England, during the early 1900s. The author has given her vibrant characters depth and realism and portrayed their inner feelings of brokenness, sorrow, terror, lighthearted flirtatiousness, and deepening love, profoundly allowing those emotions to resonate within the reader. Mamm-wynn is still a favorite of mine. She is such a precious and seemingly prescient grandmother. I loved watching the characters, especially Beth and Sheridan, change and mature in their attitudes and relationships with each other. The author masterfully blends historical information with faith-filled inspiration. There are lessons of faith threaded throughout, giving readers much to think about as the characters learn that God is greater than our mistakes, and He knows how to redeem the messes we make. Scenes and conversations are authentic and add so much. Interest is kept high with some edge-of-the-seat action. I enjoyed this book and am thrilled to see there is another book in the series in the works. Readers who love historical fiction will not want to miss To Treasure an Heiress. I received a complimentary copy of this book from Bethany House Publishers. I was not required to write a favorable review, and the opinions are my own.
