I am a loyal Tone It Up follower of Katrina and Karena's routines, their nutrition guide, and I purchase their products at their website and at Target. I have never found a protein powder that I have liked until now! The chocolate protein powder smells like fresh brownies right from the canister! The chocolate banana almond milk smoothie from their book is delicious! I keep fresh bananas frozen in the freezer and make one of these chocolate almond milk smoothies after every workout to revive my body. These girls are legit, genuine, and real. Yes their are entrepreneurs and yes as another review says, they incorporate positive mantra into their program. That's not cheesy, but is necessary considering how much we mentally bash ourselves. To succeed you must learn to think and live differently than how you did that got you overweight and out of shape. The book is fantastic and helpful. It is the best fitness/nutrition program book I've owned and I've owned a bunch by all of the top trainers and programs. Kat and Karena beautifully blend HIIT training, balanced nutrition which includes chocolate and wine (if you choose), and a wonderful much-needed motivational positive self-growth aspect. They are also on Instagram. follow them for live workouts for free

This book goes great with their nutrition plan. This is more of the mental health rather than the physical in their plan. Highly recommend!

This book is beautifully put together. This book is great for anyone new to Tone it Up, everything is laid out beautifully. For those already familiar with Tone it Up, while you can get some of the recipe and fitness content also on their website, nutrition plan, etc (which you should also check out because they are FANTASTIC!), my favorite part of this book are the daily "fierce" challenges. These are exercises designed to push you to do thing outside of your comfort zone, or have you try something new such as visualization and meditation. Karena and Katrina have an undeniable radiance to them and as a Tone it Up girl I know it's something I've always wanted to emanate too. Many of the "fierce" challenges are tangible, specific instructions on what you can do to take your confidence and your inner brilliance to the next level. I've already excitedly been selecting my favorites and beginning to work on them. I'd definitely recommend this book!

No, just no. I bought this book the day it was released and was all too excited to read it, so what did I do, I went home and read it in an hour. I was so disappointed. It left me with nothing. No new information. Same content as the nutrition plan, same challenges as the weekly schedules, same moves as all the other workouts. If you love Karena and Katrina and want to just keep feeding them your money, then by all means, buy it. Don't think you'll gain epiphanies, though!

I know a lot of TIU fan girls will worship this book, but for me it's just so cheesy and a bit vapid. I feel like 50% of the book is perky synonyms, which in these types of books means they didn't have enough real, useful content to fill the book or they are trying reeeeeally hard to sell you their brand/products. Another 25% of the book is pictures, many of which are helpfully showing exercises, the rest are just random photos of them holding a glass of water awkwardly or whatever. I am disappointed that many photos are edited so heavily (not their bodies but their faces) with too much make up. They look kind of fake and don't have the fresh beachy look that Katrina and Karena normally have. There is some good info and helpful tips, but nothing that isn't already on their website for free. The 28 day challenge is good if you want a follow along guide to making better habits, but again all the Super Awesome Fabulous Fierce Happy chatter is distracting. They recommend common sense things, like make goals and believe in yourself type stuff. It doesn't feel like advice from a friend or mentor to me though, it feels like advice from a salesperson. Like could you please Tone It Down and just be real! This basic stuff doesn't need a shiny bow, let it speak for itself. At it's roots this could be a good guide but there is just too much fluff for me to take it seriously. Some people will love the fluff, but it's not for me. It feels kind of disingenuous. Because of that I'll be returning this book. If you are debating between their nutrition plan or this book I'd choose the book. A lot of the same stuff is in here. Neither are really that great though in my opinion and the nutrition plan is way over priced. It's pretty much the same stuff that's all over the internet for free. If you already have other lifestyle/self improvement books this is in the same vein and done as well.
