A: Thank you so much for your inquiry on the Tonka Truck Steel ratio format. In the "Steel" segment or truck line Tonka trucks have used the same consistent steel materials for the past 20 years. The main piece is steel while the wheels, underside and bumper are all plastic. Depending on your truck style, the following would be made out of steel: Cab, Engine Cover, Chassis and Dump truck bed. No, this "steel classic" is quite a bit less than steel. Only the bucket, IOW less than half the truck, is steel. The rest is all plastic and not even that strong and rigid a plastic body. If you've ever seen the way kids work these things in the sandbox and yard, then you'll understand when I estimate this truck will last one season, maybe. What is the point of making a "steel toy" but limiting it to the one part of the truck which might excel in tough plastic--the bucket? BTW, no paint to be seen anywhere other than the bucket--all decals, which won't last long at all. This toy is a sad piece of future land-fill.
