A strong-armed, speedy outfielder, Wynn was also adept at getting on base (seven times in the top 10 for on-base percentage) and then swiping a bag (225 career steals). About the Author

The late Jimmy Wynn was a three-time All-Star whose number was retired by the Houston Astros. Later in life he worked for the Astros and as an analyst for Fox Sports. The late Bill McCurdy was president emeritus of the Texas Baseball Hall of Fame and a member of SABR. He lived in Houston.
