A: Dear Melsan. These are breakaway screws. You can shorten them at the notches by using pliers.

I have searched everywhere for hardware for a cabinet I'm revamping and this is the best aesthetic for the price point I have found. Quality is great. Screws were way too long to be useful and I couldn't find any in my toolbox that worked well but I actually just used adhesive tape to adhere them to my cabinet and so far so good!
