Ultrablok428 does not include mounting hardware
ULTRABLOK428 no longer includes mounting hardware to secure to wall or ceiling. Manufacturer confirms website is incorrect and could not provide missing parts, Returned.

Isobar block
I have Tripplite protectors through my house. They seem to be well built. Thank goodness we haven't had a strong lighting strike or main surges lately. I wish they had included that little support bar for the outlet on the Isobar block.

Works well.
I use this for my subwoofers that are outside the range of my other suppressor. Doesn't seem to affec t anything with the sound. Would like to turn the lights out, and maybe I can if I read the instructions. Oh well.

Hi Les - Thanks for your feedback on the ULTRABLOK. Unfortunately, there's no way to turn the LEDs off, but if they're bothersome, a bit of black electrical tape over the lights will do the trick!

Works as intended
I have only had the product a few days however I have to assume that it is working as intended. I would add one note that left me concerned when the product arrived. I bought this item specifically for our garage door opener and of course it is plugged into a ceiling outlet. There is a tab designed to secure the device to the outlet into which it is installed. However there is a note in the package that says this tab can not be used in Canada as it may void the warranty and insurance. I modified the installation so that a rubber strap secures the device in case it vibrates and comes loose and this strap can be easily removed - certainly faster than removing a screw. Had this advise been included in the description before purchase, I might not have purchased it. However at this point I have no complaints about the operation.

Cheap insurance to protect my laundry appliances!
I don't have it very long yet nor tested in actual electrical surge. But I can say from first impression very solid, built like a tank unit. Both LED indicators on birth and reassuring. I plan to get one or two more of these.

Hey, it's Tripp-Lite! What else do you need to know? I originally purchased the product to act as a surge suppressor for a new fridge. Unfortunately it's a bit thick and caused the fridge to stick out too far. I repurposed it on a standalone freezer which does not have the rear space restriction.

I would recommend the surge protector.
The Isobar 2-Outlet Surge Protector is used for protecting a Livestock Fence Energizer on my farm. The direct plug-in and the 1400 plus joules of protection caught my eye when search online. Furthermore, the surge protector was economically priced. When I first plugged the protector into the barn electrical outlet a fault light illuminated. I took the surge protector into my house and did not receive the fault indicator when plugged in to the house outlet. Turns out that the surge protector identified a wiring issue within the barn. The issue was the lack of a common wiring to the outlet. The unit works great and reduces concern for power surge that has damage 3 previous energizers.

A good choice when you only need to protect two outlets.
Used in ceiling and wall outlets in my golf simulator room, to protect a PC, projector, and launch monitor. High levels of protection in a compact form factor which takes up no floor space. Status indicator lights are a useful feature.

Essential protection for electronics
We use only TRIPP LITE for valuable electronics protection. For example, in the photo, an Alesis drum set and an Alesis drum strike amp are protected. The house wiring is three wire with a good ground. Protecting our valuable electronics this way is much less expensive than installing the protection at the circuit breaker.

Tripp Lite protected washer.
I am using Tripp Lite to protect a new front load washing machine. Winter ice storms with downed piwerlines are reality here. I feel much safer using Tripp Lite.

This is our second Isobar 2-Outlet Surge Protector. First one blew when 3 huge electrical surges hit, and the circuit board of our Harman P43 Pellet Stove that was plugged into it was damaged/blown also. To be fair, we had other brand surge protectors that also blew and one actually smoldered and melted. I did not report the damage to Isobar. I recently inquired and asked to have the surge protector replaced. They did so without hesitation. The previous Isobar 2-Outlet surge protector was in use for 3 years, prior to the incident.
