Q: The whites in the photo look like 2 different shades. Is the real item 2 different shades like this?

Q: It says that the overall height is 30", but I was wondering where the "shelf" begins? It looks to be roughly 6", but I can someone tell me for sure?

Very easy to assemble. My only 'complaint' is the child proofing straps that come with it are basically zip ties. I wish it was more of a strap that attaches to the back instead of zip ties that attach to the wall. Otherwise it's beautiful.

Delivery man brought it upstairs; that was very kind and good service. Usually it is hard for me to put things together, but this one turned out to be really easy specially because of well illustrated instructions. I am using it as an extension (side table) to my regular work desk, to put my computer. I had to put 2x2 pieces at the bottom to raise it by two inches. I am very happy with the product and its usefulness to me.

High quality piece of furniture
Of all the furniture I have ever assembled in my life, this was one of the most straight forward in terms of instructions and organization of materials. The screws and items needed for assembly are packaged in a blister pack and clearly marked. Despite this, it did take me quite a bit of time to assemble - mostly because I was in a rush to get it done. Make sure you follow the instructions and diagrams carefully to prevent having to redo your work multiple times like I did! My only complaint is that I didn't receive enough of the screw hole cover stickers to cover all the holes. Other than that, the wood is heavy, and the cherry finish is a very nice color. I'm really glad I bought this high quality piece of furniture at such a great price. It looks really nice in my entryway, and I am 100% confident it will last a very long time.
