Remove it from the box - hold it in your hands - gently push back cuticles and then trim any pieces of skin. It's nice to have rubber handles so that it makes it more ergonomic and less likely to slip out of your hands. The cuticle clipper is made of stainless steel.

And my fiance used them to do her manicures and pedicures and I keep joking with her that she needs to get her own and leave mine alone! Lol she sid she'd love to see them in girly style handles as well.

They are small, petite in size, and easy to handle and get detailed with clipping cuticles. I did not like these very much.
