I guess there is a reason this item is now retired. Used only a few times and the mount snapped nearly breaking my iPad once it fell. Definitely not worth the money.

I am often stuck in bed. I have a high bed and it would be helpful if HoverBar Tower had a longer and/more adjustable options. Either way, very grateful for this product. I look forward to seeing the next generation.

I'd give the HoverBar a 4 1/2 star rating if possible. The stand is well made, easy to assemble and very versatile. The relatively light weight allows for easy placement. I especially like the ability to omit one of the 3 tubes for height. I use it exclusively for my 11” iPad Pro while seated. This allows me to keep my neck straight vs bent forward. It is very convenient to swivel the iPad to the side without moving the stand. The clamp grips my iPad with ZUGU case securely and allows for excellent positional adjustment. My primary complaint is when typing the stand vibrates slightly. If you keep a finger on the clamp securing the iPad or the iPad itself this can be minimized.

We bought two of these to hold our iPads when doing our podcast. The build is great. Solid, looks elegant, and not intrusive. Nicely weighted, easy to adjust and maneuver. However, for such a wonderful piece of equipment the clamp is just a terrible design. Yes, it holds the iPads firmly, but trying to pry the clamp apart and set the iPad in it is an inexcusable mess. The clamp should have a lock so you can pull it open, insert the iPad, then a button to release and clamp down on it. How this was overlooked is beyond me. We have several Twelve South items and they are all great. I would suggest the next iteration of this has a locking clamp. There is nothing worse than having to worry about dropping the iPad on the floor because it takes two hands to open the clamp.

I already owned the desktop HoverBar and needed to replace another floor stand that had worn out. The HoverBar Tower was the perfect replacement. The stand is sturdy and holds the iPad (or iPhone) securely. Easily adjustable. An excellent product.

This is my 2nd Hoverbar that is broken within a few months. I loved this product until my 2nd one failed. It won’t stay up and swings my iPad all around if I now put my iPad in it. Why do you use inferior products. I’m very disappointed. At this rate, I’ll use a side table. This product is a waste of time to purchase.

I just received and assembled my HoverBar Tower and I’m pleased with it. It was a little difficult to get the three bars screwed together at first. They would screw on about one turn and then they didn’t want to screw past that. I was afraid to force them because I didn’t want to damage the threads. Finally, by rubbing a bit of plain, unscented candle wax on the threads, I was able to get them together without applying much force. My iPad Pro 11” fits inside the clamps even with the cover on it. It has a weighted base, is sturdy, and I think it’s going to work well for my needs.

The HoverBar Tower is an amazing product. Fits my 12.9 in iPad Pro perfectly and the quality of the product is amazing. Best quality of anything I’ve purchased before. And had it delivered within two days after ordering it. Actually delivered on a Saturday. That was a nice surprise. Very easy to change from portrait to landscape view when needed and easy to adjust angle of arm for the perfect setting. I am very pleased with it.

I was a bit hesitant to spend this much on a stand for my iPad to use on my indoor bike trainer. Upon it being delivered, I realized this was like every other 12South item I own, quality. It was just the right bit of heft that you knew it was really well built and wasn't going to easily fall over. I've used with my bike and at my desk thus far. My kids are already trying to borrow it. It has tons of flexibility and all while looking truly beautiful. Even my wife doesn't mind it sitting out. Was able to score on a holiday deal, but having it now I'd have gladly paid full price. Great work - as always - 12South!
