Description
The Ultimate Catch Phrase game unit is designed so that players can toss it instead of passing it -- putting the "catch" back into Catch Phrase! Players try to get teammates to guess the word or phrase that appears on the screen by describing it in just about any possible way -- but they have to do it fast as the timer counts down! If a teammate can't guess the word within 15 seconds, the unit will beep and it's time to toss it to another team member who'll get a chance at a new word. Don't get caught holding the unit when the buzzer goes off or your team loses the round and the other team gets the point. The Ultimate Catch Phrase electronic party game features 5,000 words never seen in previous Catch Phrase games. The game itself is fun! The old game is better . The score keeping and even the cheesy music for the winner ! The best part about the new game is the updated phrases or words . Now if Hasbro can update the “ updated” version that would be perfect!!

We have 10 kids between our adult kids and 6 grandkids. The grandkids ages are 5-15. We are starting to do game night once a month with them and this game everyone can play. It’s so fun with the different categories for the words or phrases that pop up. It’s like Pictionary and Hot Potato. We are literally laughing the entire time. Get it and create some fun family memories!

Maybe I should have read the description better, but if you are assuming this is just an electronic version of the original Catch Phrase, prepare to be disappointed. First, you only get 15 seconds to guess your word, otherwise you have to pass to a teammate and the word changes. Second, there are categories and the words and phrases are much more specific and harder to guess. My kids age 7-15 didn't know many of them. Played once for 10 minutes and will be donating. Back to the original Catch Phrase for us.

we played this game on vacation and my kids loved it. My seven-year-old actually won the game three times against my 10 year old with an adult player on each team. I thought I purchased the same exact item but this digital game had topics that my kids just didn't get. the old school game with the physical topic cards was super fun. if you have younger kids, look for the one.

My family loves the game CatchPhrase but we lost ours and haven’t been able to locate it. For Christmas, I decided to purchase another one but couldn’t find the original. This one is very frustrating because it only allows 15 seconds to try to guess and then you are forced to toss it to another player. My family did not enjoy the new version.
