Description
DecoScrews are designed specifically to securely hang your heavy wall décor items in drywall. They can hold up to 30 lbs (14 kg) on a single screw, and the cone shaped shank eliminates the need for a separate wall anchor.
The patented design of the head creates a groove in between the back of the head and the wall, to make sure whatever you hang on it, stays on it. DecoScrews are designed to work with all types of hanging hardware (wire, D-rings, sawtooth hooks and keyhole hangers).
DecoScrews are designed to work in standard thickness drywall or sheetrock, and are sized so they will not puncture wiring or plumbing. Self tapping, DecoScrews will work with either a Phillips or flathead screwdriver.

It doesn't even hold 10 pounds but says it holds 30 pounds, waste of time and money.

We've been manufacturing the product for many years and undergone numerous tests to ensure that all of our products exceed our stated weight limits under normal use, so we are extremely interested to learn how they did not perform. Any additional information would be very useful, for example: what type of surface were they used in (i.e wood / drywall etc)? What type of wall decor were you hanging? What type of hanging hardware was on the rear of the wall decor (i.e. sawtooth hook, D-ring, picture wire etc)? Did the screw install correctly into the wall? Were there any visible defects on the screw? Did the screw break or pull out of the wall? Any additional details will be appreciated. Where have you been all my life?!?! I just discovered these magical things when I got tired of drilling and pounding giant holes in my walls! These have literally made my life so much easier, I don't dread having to hang heavy things anymore. It's a one-step process that takes seconds now. I've hung racks, curtain hardware, pictures, and more .. and just ordered more!

These came out of the wall as soon as I added my less than 2 lb decor. Save your time and money and just use drywall anchors and screws.

We’re actually surprised to hear that the DécoScrews fit the hardware on the back of the floating shelves. They were never designed to be the ideal fastener for floating shelves. For these types of shelves, it is important that the gap between the wall and the screw be adjustable, so that a secure fit can be made that is specific to the particular shelf. We still stand by our 30lb weight test as long as the product is being used as instructed.
