Open the sun shade in your vehicle, it can be used in both outside and interior of your car. 2. Slide the bottom edge of sun shade onto the lower edge of the dash where the dash meets the windshield. 3. Make sure that the sun shade is as close to the windshield as possible. 4. Fix the suction cups in the windshield. 5. Press the upper edge of the sun shade against the upper edge of windshield. 6. The sun shade should have a small notch in the top that allows the shade to fit around your rear view mirror, resulting in a relatively flushed fit against the windshield. 7. Pull the upper edge of sun shade toward you and maneuver it around the rear view mirror. 8. Fold the sun shade together gently, so that its panels line up when it is closed.9. Store in convenient carrying case.

Works like it should
The shade is the right size and it keeps the sun out. And, I like the straps for storage. The only drawback is the suction cups don't adhere to the windshield. But, the visors keep it up so it still works.
