UNO Platinum Edition Card Game

Just buy regular uno it’s cheaper better looking and actually has the customizable wild cards I only have this uno because I collect them but other then the shiny box it doesn’t even look good the cards are ugly imo and the box is slightly larger then the rest making it look awkward and out of place just save the money and buy any other uno

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the packing because you can tell that its special. Its easy to open. Came with all colors. Instructions are easy to figure out if its your first time playing. Nice lay out. The cards felt like the normal cards, but also felt like card board or a cheap material. Design of the cards didn’t look great, the numbers/ symbols on the top right and bottom left where to big and thick, same goes for the number/ symbol in the center. Also it looked like you where going to be hypnotized for the background colors in my opinion looks cool. The back of the cards are the same as the front side of the package only inverted colors and an holographic uno symbol. The overall game play is the same as the original uno, doesn’t have any difference then the original only a different design. I would recommend this to people like to play hardcore, and overall nice game play, would recommend.

It was of course the same UNO game that I grew up loving to play but the cards are just too cool looking. My nephew couldn't wait to play by just how cool the cards looked with the silver, almost hologram look to them. Great addition to the UNO family of cards!

Love that my 7 and 10 year old picked up the instructions on the two sets of wild cards and have such a ball when we play the game. Love the added shine of the cards. Have several UNO card decks, it's a favorite for sure.

There are a couple of small rule twists that makes this game even better than regular Uno, like the choice to challenge the +4 wild cards. This game won't take you away from the classic Uno, but it will make you feel classier with the holographic card backing, and the futuristic face of the cards. This is no longer the kids game we took camping when our cell phones didn't have service. This is poker level style and class. Uno Platinum makes playing Uno cool for adults and kids alike, breaking the ice and not having the judgement of really? You're an adult and want to play Uno? The back of the cards are really cool being able to touch the holographic platinum Uno. The size of the cards feels smaller than what I'm used to with standard decks, but it's a nice size especially for travel. The front of the cards are a bit disappointing, I wished they were also holographic instead of the 80's retro vibe they have going. I don't love the line design, they're a little hard to look at and read. The game itself was fun, reading the instructions there were a few rules I wasn't used to. Being able to challenge on a wild +4 was a cool new concept to me. I also do, as always, appreciate only needing to draw one when you can't play. Some versions of Uno of course requiring to draw more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are premium Uno cards. Love the finish on the back which give it an expensive feel and gives a great atmosphere towards the game. My nephew liked playing the game with these cards but seem to loose interest slowly as he doesn't play card games much, but he did enjoy the giant UNO card game which could say that the giant size cards just held his interest more. Came with two decks which makes for great longevity of a game being played without reshuffling. Excellent quality cards. Highly recommend for people of all ages.

It is the traditional UNO with a beautiful kick of holographic imagery to the box and card design! We had so much fun testing these cards out with grandma…she thought they were lovely!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] UNO is a wonderful game for both adults and children! Easy to learn, quick to play, with very little set up. Success depends on luck and strategy combined, which keeps it interesting for adults too. This particular set is a beautiful edition with holographic foil decor on the cards and a shining, holographic box labeled "Platinum Edition." The cards are a nice size and thickness, and the embossed "UNO" on the reverse sides feels nice. The fancy holographic striped designs with color gradients, however, do make it a bit difficult to tell the colors apart when playing in a room with low light. In addition, the use of white and black stripes on the wild card, as opposed to red/black stripes, blue/black stripes, yellow/black stripes, and green/black stripes, at first had one player thinking there was a white color category too. The regular UNO editions make it much easier to tell the wild cards apart. In short, this was a really great-looking edition, but for playing with children, I think I'd prefer the standard UNO cards. For big fans or game collectors, however, this makes a lovely "fancy" set.

Most of the tine we play UNO during long winter evenings, but last weekend we took it to the beach and played in on the beach - black cards made it easy to play in full sun. This is one of the games where age is not too important - we play with adults, teenagers and elementary-schoolers - everybody has equal chances to win.

Don't get me wrong, the game itself is great, but I would have expected a Platinum Edition to be made with better quality. The cards seem thin, and don't seem like they will hold up long compared to the original cards we have. The holographic design on the back of the cards were a nice touch, but the front of the cards were lacking. The colors were dull, dark, and lacking a "platinum" touch. The front of the cards should have been brighter and more colorful, maybe add some of the holographic look to the front of the card and not just the logo on the back.

You can still play with these cards just as you do like the original Uno cards, but just with style! These platinum edition cards has a sleek finish touch with a design that draws your eyes to the card, like wow! The holographic Uno words against the black card was genius! I feel like these make the game more fun to play with. These cards are only getting pulled out when I’m having parties at the house and trying to impress! I highly recommend grabbing you a pack of Uno platinum edition cards for your home!

The back of the cards are nice, with the shiny lettering. The face of the cards lack color, and the design looks like a thumb print. The "UNO" imprint from the back the back of the card shows through on the front. It makes the cards look cheap.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well, what can you say - it is classic UNO just with a different look and feel to the cards. The look is very minimalistic, which is OK with me but may not be some peoples cup of tea. The back side of the cards feature a nice metallic UNO with sort of holographic properties. The cards kind of remind me of the panini illusions series of trading cards if you are familiar with them. They are high quality but not flashy. The matte finish has a little different feel to them when playing as well - I like them as they feel more like the cards I use to play poker. We will see how well they hold up, but they sure feel like a high quality deck.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This uno large deck is awesome for 4 players. My 4 kids ages 14,9,8,6 were all able to play it on their own with my help. Yes they have played uno before and knew the rules. They all liked the shiny iridescent look to the cards. The kids chose to play this card game over our other games.. so that is a positive. I am also taking it along on our cabin trip because it’s easy to take with us.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you’re at all familiar or a fan of the regular base UNO game, then you’re mostly familiar with this product already. This is essentially a very nice, very well done re-release of the original UNO game we all know and love. Firstly, I would say if you have kids or friends, family, etc then this version of UNO would make a fantastic gift! The cards are a little thicker and will hold up overtime better than the original thinner cards that come in the regular UNO set. These have a more “mature” feel to them and are a bit “classier”. Overall, I really enjoy this set and my daughter is absolutely thrilled with it commenting about how cool the crazy artwork is. The card backs are awesome too!
