A fake date
Can fake dating really work? With the holidays just around the corner, everyone is trying to set Wilder Blaine up with a date and Fable Calloway wants a buffer from her two-timing ex-boyfriend. Fake dating is the perfect answer to both their situations. Throw in some Christmas competitions, a holiday wedding and a crowd of well-meaning relations and of course nothing can go wrong! (Yea, right!). See where all of this takes Wilder and Fable in Lauren Blakely’s “My Favorite Holidate”. This is a book I didn’t want to put down. The Christmas competition was a bit contrived, but it does move the plot along. This is a stand alone book though there are references to other books thru minor characters that add to the storyline. I’m intrigued enough that I’ll probably go and find these books to read. I recommend this book to Christmas aficionados who like spicy romance. I wish to thank Atria Books for providing the complementary electronic copy of this book and selecting me to review it on NetGalley. Fun, flirty, full of charm
Funny, flirty, and full of Christmas charm! This was exactly the kind of holiday rom-com that gets me ready for the holidays! Light, sparkly, and full of heart . I loved the friends-to-lovers vibe and how the banter between Wilder and Fable felt effortless and real. They had such easy chemistry that I couldn’t stop smiling through half the book. It’s playful, smexy without going overboard, and full of those feel good holiday moments that make me want to curl up with cocoa and twinkle lights. A total feel good read that left me grinning and already in the Christmas mood.
