VENUS Womens Puff Sleeve Mini Dress

This dress made me feel like I was trying to be a little girl quite honestly. There really isn't a way to adjust it other than downsizing and even that would require a lot of changes. The PROS: I like the sleeves and the fact that they fall off the shoulders. The fuchsia color is very pretty as well. The material is soft but seems like it would wrinkle easily. The length is perfect too. The CONS: Others complained about the breast area being too restrictive, however, there's material on the back which allows stretch there. Personally, I felt the dress has a flattening affect which I would assume most women want to avoid. While I like the material falling off the shoulders, it falls too much. It could really pull the dress down if I let the sleeves just fall down my arms as much as they did. I would have to sew it to prevent from going too far. However, the biggest con for me is the mid-section. It is so huge that I would use it in the third trimester of a pregnancy and it wouldn't change the length a bit. I almost think it would hide a pregnancy it's that big. I even tried the dress with a belt to see if it would look better and it did not. I gathered the material to see how much would need to be removed to get it to look as advertised and its a lot. I normally buy size M in dresses and I think with this one an XS might have been the only way to get the look as advertised.

I wore this dress for the first-time last week to brunch it was too big. The sleeves kept falling off my shoulders.

The "red" color is actually a bright/hot pink- which I am happy about! The dress is cute, although very puffy & holds wrinkles. The chest band doesn't stretch at all, making it a little challenging to pull over my arms & head. The XL drrss is smashing my 38D chest down, which isn't flattering & looks weird. The rest of the dress is huge. Probably looks better on smaller chests?

I love this dress, but it runs very large. I did go strictly by the size guide with my measurements, and I could have gone down at least 2 sizes.

I think this dress runs big. I'd say I'm typically a medium in anything from Venus, but this felt really big on me and I am a slender build on top, with wider thighs and hips. I would size down.
