I bought this for travel as a carry on (personal item). It's the right size, holds a LOT, and is durable. The only think I would've liked more is for the front pocket to hold more than "flat" items. It's good for paper/pens but not really functional for travel. It would make a great school backpack though. More for school, less for travel in regard to functionality.
