Happy with the light
The Verilux Happy Light is the perfect size and weight. I have only used it for a week so don't know if it will help with my Seasonal Affective Disorder yet. I started it at the 10,000 lux without any difficulty.

Pretty good
It works. For 15 minutes after waking up - the light shines into the eyes. Read on your phone in bed. Doesn't matter. Congratulations - you skip coffee and are much less sleepy during the afternoon. I wish I could program it like alarm clock

Bright Compact Excellent Lite

My therapist/doctor, suggested to combat SAD "seasonal affective disorder" using every morning for approximately 35 minutes, timer function very nice, use the full brightness and daylight color, very bright Properly positioned. No more than 24in away from your face. Eyes opened wide. I would have to give it a five-star rating so far, I have definitely felt as if it has been helping. Have used for about 10 days every morning. At least the cost is cheaper than a bottle of pills every month. Good luck.

So far, so good! My sleep (according to my Oura ring) has improved in the last week, as I have used the Luxe light every morning for ~45 minutes. I play the New York Times games on my iPad and drink my coffee with light next to me

Well-made, effective for my SAD.
I tell all my friends and family about the great anti-depressive benefits I get from light therapy and have given a couple as gifts since I began with Verilux a decade ago. The original lamp has not exhibited a single problem in all that time. I purchased this very nice new one simply because I am 78 and put it away for the summer, then couldn't find it when I realized about a month ago that I felt kind of lousy and thought, Happy Light. Excellent product.
