Verilux HappyLight Duo Floor Lamp 2-in-1 Therapy and Task Light White: Adjustable Intensity, 360° Gooseneck, No Assembly Required

This is a replacement for a lamp my parents had for 20+ years. I love the versatility and options on this lamp that were not on the original lamp.

Lovely, bright light! Perfect as a task lamp for highlighting my sewing work while also emitting a bright, happy glow to boost my moos.

I'm not understanding how people are having such difficulty putting them together..It took me 2 minutes without directions. I have the task floor lamp and one of the desk lamps. These things are a savior in my office that has no windows. And their customer service is TOP NOTCH.

Moved from Florida to Michigan. I was getting depressed until my doctor suggested to try the Happy Light. It has helped me immensely.

This light is super bright and I love the various light color settings!

I am only giving 1 star because you cannot give 0 stars. The instructions for attaching the lamp to the base are unclear and misleading, making connecting the pole securely difficult. The instructions state to insert the pole into the base, but they fail to mention the need to extend the inner pole. After researching online, I discovered the following workaround: 1. Extend the telescoping pole a few inches. 2. If the silver ring on the base is stuck down, gently lift it back into place using a small screwdriver. 3. Securely tighten the screw using the provided Allen wrench. The manufacturer should revise the assembly instructions to be clearer and more concise and improve the base design for easier and more secure pole attachment.

After trying and failing many times to assemble this lamp I discovered a review by Michael1221. In it he explains the problems people are having and how to deal with them. Here are his instructions: "Definitely a 5 star light but loses 1 star for aggravation in the assembly process and poor instructions and an extremely short internal electrical cord. I nearly gave up during the assembly process too UNTIL I realized the telescoping pole needs to be extended out a couple inches to fit on the base. The pole is shipped with the inner pole completely retracted into the outer pole. It's the inner retracted pole that prevents the pole from fitting on the base completely. Extend the inner pole up a couple inches and the pole should now slide on the base. However, if you've tried unsuccessfully to fit the pole on the base without extending the inner pole, you've now most likely pushed the silver metal ring on the base completely down. Pop the silver ring on the base back up with something like a small screwdriver. This will allow the plastic under the silver ring to retract inward and allow the pole to fully connect to the base. Then finally tighten the screw using the allen wrench under the base as instructed. Oh...and the included electrical wire is quite difficult to slip through the inside of the pole. And it is also way too short! I had to completely dissemble the lamp to connect the wires together again as the lamp did not light at all after extending the pole when the electrical connection pulled apart. Make sure the wire connection is tight! If your light stops working at some point the internal electrical connection most likely came apart as the lifespan of an LED bulb is around 50,000 hours." I am unable to put the lamp together. I followed the directions provided but the base will not attach to the lamp. I will be returning the lamp.

Excellent lamp, I use it every day, mostly for reading.

This is the lamp I should have bought years ago! I had been considering a light therapy lamp for years but finally ordered this one at the end of last winter when I had enough of suffering through my usual boughts of SAD. I also have chronic pain and fatigue. Where I live we have a lot of cloudy days all year so I figured it won’t be just for winter. Plus I needed a better task light in my bedroom. This started helping right away and I got a bit of spring mania at first lol. I love how multi functional it is and the different light temperatures. It was a little tricky to assemble, could use a better assembly video. Also wish this came in black as it looks a bit clinical. Can’t live without this lamp now!

Fix the instructions or send the pole partially extended and increase the length of the internal wire and you'll have a 5 star lamp.

I like the light itself that part is fine but the setup is infuriatingly difficult. I swear this wasn't quality tested by setup with a real person. My light doesn't even hook into the base stand! It simply will not go in. The cord also is very difficult to thread thru the pipes themselves. Horribly designed product The light does work though but I have to lean it against a wall which is suboptimal

Nice light when you can get a power supply that works. I can not buy it from parts. Dead light.

I bought two of these lamps not realizing that the bulb is not replaceable so when it dies you are tossing this whole thing into the landfill. This is a terrible design feature. The company says "but the bulb lasts for years" -- possibly, if all you use the lamp for is 15 minutes a day of light therapy. If you use it for task lighting as it is marketed, the bulb does not last for years. Add the fact that the stems never clicked into the base so every time I moved them they came apart...just not worth the money, aggravation, and harm to the earth.

Well engineered, variable intensities are helpful..

This is my third Verilux floor light. They keep improving but I don't think it can get any better than this one. A unique feature is that it is height-adjustable. One of my previous lights was too tall and the other too short. The LED light is also much nicer than the old fluorescents. I appreciate the ability to change the light from soft yellow to bright white, as needed, for different tasks at different times of the day. Another unique feature is that it can be used as a task lamp and doubles as a light therapy lamp.

I have used Verilux lights in the medical setting - they are dependable and BRIGHT. I did not hesitate to purchase Verilux for home use and “Happy Light Duo” did not disappoint.

This light has the right name… The Happy Light. It helps my mood as well as helping me see my book and projects so much better. I highly recommend it.

I have tried other LED lamps. They were very fashionable but the light was slimly directed. The Verilux gives a full light. Great for my bedroom reading.
