    Disappointed and disgusted

    I am not giving this a star. No derserving. This review is written in 2026 and with all the bad reviews Target has not removed them from their website. I've called everyone to no avail. Also the Target customer service line hangs up without a call back. I'm requesting a refund with no exceptions. If this is the way Target does business, they have lost a customer. I'm very disappointed because I like to shop d as t Target. No more!

    These are scams, someone has erased the numbers so when you activate them you get robbed, target will sale you these knowing that and refuse to offer any help. Spent money on these for mothers day and now will have to give my mother a high-five instead, thanks target

    Purchased this card for the second time, first card I had no issues. Second purchase few weeks later and after making 3 purchases the card was locked . When i contacted customer service, they said they locked it to prevent possible compromise, I told them I didn't request that, they said they did it on their own and it could take up to 30 days for me to receive a mailed check refund of the remaining balance. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS CARD, as they can lock you out without cause or notice.

    Warning!!! Doesnt work with all online purchases.

    This card cannot be used for ALL online purchases. Most retailers block these types of Visa pre paid cards which i found out the hard. If you MUST buy something online, that requires matching a billing address with shipping address, do not buy this card. It will not work. I sat on the phone with Customer service for the Visa for almost an hour along with the retailer i was trying ot buy from. I then tried to get a refund from target since this cannot be used for all online purchases and was unable to get a refund. i tried other options like adding it to Apple wallet to buy an online purcahse, i tried adding the card to Paypal to use paypal to buy something. Neither of those options worked. (Only RELOADABLE prepard cards offer the option for all online purchases). Do not buy this one!!!! and target will NOT help you, i spoke to the Manager at the target and they simply said they couldnt do anything about it.

    SCAM!!

    Wish someone would’ve told me sooner. I thought it would help pay for groceries or when budget is tight. I swipe the card and there was an error. I bought the card from target and wait 60 mins for activation. I go to the website thinking I need to activated but it’s already “ Activated”. I never knew this world would come to this. More reasons why I have trust issues. 🤦🏻‍♀️

    Absolute SCAM!

    Do not buy these cards! When you open the packaging, the last 4 digits and the security code have been suspiciously scratched off.

    Zero stars if I could. I bought FOUR of these and every single one was fraudulent. Absolutely ridiculous. Target refuses to take any responsibility whatsoever. It’s beyond infuriating that a massive company can sell scam cards on their shelves and then just shrug it off like it’s not their problem. Completely unacceptable.

    Use the digital download ones

    Absolutely love these. I'm seeing a trend where the actual physical card is having issues or is coming to folks looking used. So i decided to go digital, since 99% of places are taking tap to pay, these days and being everyone either has Apple or Droid, you have Apple Pay and Gpay. Not gonna lie, my 55yr old self, has never even turned the NFC function on, on my Galaxy, lol. However, this tech has taught an old dog a new trick, lol. Love tapping my phone, wherever, and so far, these visa cards have come through flawlessly. I get the email, look at my digital card and balance, then add it to my Gpay wallet EZPZ :)

    Scam

    Scam! They charge you money to hold onto your money and make interest on it while making it difficult for people to redeem. Nobody likes receiving these. Send cash or USDC instead.

    The card was damaged with last 8 digits scratched out. The security code was scratched out as well When you call the number at the back of the card it just tells you after giving you the run around that you need to go online. I went online and opened a case but no confirmation email or what the next steps are. I called targets consumer service and they just transferred me back and forth and then asked me to call the number that I called before. Definitely not worth the effort to buy a gift card from Target
