Great container but lid is plastic
I bought the stainless steel container for my Vitamix because I am looking for ways to keep plastics away from my food, and I was happy to find this option. Vitamix products are always high quality and I am happy with the steel container. I was very disappointed to find that the lid is plastic. When I shopped on line there was no description of the lid and from the picture and the price, I expected a lid made of glass. I understand glass would be heavier and can chip, but now I am deciding what the potential is for plastic contamination of my food when using this container. If I find a strong blender with zero plastic contact with food, I may return this one. I would love for Vitamix to sell a glass lid separately. I would buy it to put on my steel container. The quality of the container itself is five stars!

Stainless steel container is almost perfect
I love the concept of stainless containers. Though the inside of the container narrows as it reaches the bottom of the inside. The Vitamix long grey scrapper doesn’t fit. Thus, it is difficult to get any blended food out of the container. I do love that it is stainless, and measuring marks are visible inside of the container. I have removed plastics from my kitchen. I hope you make a larger container in the future, as I make most of my kitchen staples from scratch.

So happy I finally got one
I've been wanting to update to a stainless-steel container for my Vitamix for so long. I finally got it and I couldn't be happier. Eliminating the plastic was the main goal, and now our shakes are frostier and the kids love it! I'm so happy with it.

Disappointed with the Quality and Noise Level
We purchased the 48-ounce Stainless Steel Container expecting a premium experience given its high price point and Vitamix's reputation for quality. Unfortunately, the unit we received has been disappointing. At low RPMs, the blade rotation produces an intermittent squeaky/squealing noise that is quite noticeable and uncomfortable to the ears. The noise seems to occur repeatedly during slower-speed operation and detracts from the overall user experience. For comparison, we have used the standard Vitamix plastic container for years, and it runs smoothly and quietly at both low and high speeds. We did not experience any similar noises with the plastic container, which makes the behavior of the stainless steel version particularly surprising. Based on our experience, we are disappointed with the quality control and overall value of this product.

Tough compromise but I guess it will do.
I chose this container because I wanted to get rid of the microplastics that the other had. Overall it's good blender but it's very loud and require more time to blend when compared to the old blender container. It's smaller 48oz rather than 64oz. The design is ok but it's very industrial

Great vessel, horrible lid design.
I love the actual vessel, but the lid is trash. It’s plastic and difficult to clean. Why change the silicone one? Food gets trapped in the lid around the rim and it’s very to clean. For the price of the pitcher alone, you should upgrade this.

I like the container but the bottom I would prefer that it has some rubber or plastic like the one in the handle on the bottom so it doesn't scratch the counter surface

Great non toxic blender but it does not have the same power or effectiveness as the standard blender pitcher. Nothing is blended as fine in this one.
