Absolutely love the Vitamix X5. I have been a vitamix owner since the early 80’s … wow. This is over the top best one yet. I purchased with the 48 oz and ordered the 64 oz because I have a large family and cook A L O T! I used both and love how easy they are to clean. Love the clear top as well… I feel it is much easier to maintain and keep squeaky clean and sanitary. The blades are impressively sharp and deliver the most amazing end result every single time. I highly recommend the large canister if you cook a lot. I plan to add the other attachments in time as well. ENJOY!

This is a replacement container for one that broke. The new plastic lid does not snap firmly onto the new container the way the old lid snapped onto the former container.

This is the perfect size for making everything. It is better than the 48-ounce container…more versatile. However, I have trouble sometimes getting the lid to snap and seal before blending.

I do like the container. Although, I am not certain while they consider it Low Profile. My cupboards are standard height as most are within standard kitchens and this doesn’t come close to fitting under the cabinets. It does if sitting off of the Vitamix motor, but I don’t believe that was the, point. I didn’t expect to utilize it, or to remove the lid while it was under the cabinet. My only thought was that it would be squatty and be able to sit under the cabinets complete.

I purchased our first vitamix 14 years ago. I really like this low profile compared to our last carafe which did not fit under the counter. The design might be helping food to blend with less help of the tamper, but I’m not sure. I gave 4 stars, rather than 5, due to the lid. The older models had rubbery lids that gave a lid and were very durable. This is a harder plastic. This is brand new and I hope it holds up, but I don’t have as much faith in it and it’s slightly harder to apply and remove. This might get easier with use.

I use my Vitamix daily and this is maybe my fourth or fifth container. Vitamix addressed every user issue with this model. It’s the best I’ve used and makes my 5200 motor more effective. I’m very impressed.

I'm so disappointed as I really love vitamix products and I have two machines one here and a second one in my beach home... I was doing a frozen açai with ice and little water and my container scratched and the next time I tried to use it again, it just leaked from the scratch!!! I got really sad as I really love Vitamix.

I have had my vitamix several years. I love that I can program it, but the container has problems: the handle is hollow and hard to clean, the lid only fits on one way. I liked my ole container much better.

Since owning this Vitamix Container, I've noticed it always leaves a mess when I use it! The classic containers never left spills and it doesn't seem to be that easy to keep clean. Also it doesn't blend smoothies with the same power and texture as the classic one. I hope Vitamix will come out with a better container than this one. Something as solid as the classic container with a rubber lid or some kind of sturdy lid that out performs this one.

Excellent product. However plastic worms out and gets dirty over time. Also very expensive. Perhaps some glass mixed with resin would produce better results and in today’s printing age perhaps could be more cost effective.

My original container ended up having a spoon left in it and that spoon whipping around broke a hole in the side of the container rendering up useless. I have a blendtec as well but this machine is better. The price is about triple of what it should be for a replacement container, So it gets a 5 star for its quality, but a 2 star for the value for the money.
