It is marginally better than a long thin spatula or spoon at getting under the blades, and is far worse than a spatula at scraping the sides. Would not recommend unless design is updated.

I enjoy using the under-blade scraper because it makes scraping food from under the blades so much easier than a regular scraper. It helps me get more of the food mixture out of the container, wasting less!

I have owned this tool for six months and used it four times. When I was scraping the side of the blender container today, it broke at the first touch. It is shoddy workmanship.

This is very useful, but I have used a dull kitchen place setting knife before I purchased this. I have to be careful to keep it in a drawer where it can be seen easily, otherwise it gets lost. I use my Vitamix to primarily chop vegetables, sometimes nuts, haven't done any puree's yet.
