exceeded my expectations, some said it was too small but I think its perfect!

I wish I knew about this stainless steel container sooner! My original Vitamix container was starting to become cloudy even after washing so I had wanted to replace it. Trying to be more health conscious by reducing plastic use and since I already upgraded a lot of my kitchenware, I decided to invest in this. I use it a few times a week. I love the stainless steel look, it's sturdy and clean up is easy. So happy with this purchase!

We really like this and prefer stainless steel to plastic. The size/shape seems to work better than the bigger one we had originally. It was a little weird at first to not see inside it, but we got over that.

So disappointed in this container. Don’t know what vitamix was thinking in making a 48 oz as opposed to 64 oz. I only wanted it because of the microplastic issue that I have been trying to avoid when possible so was so happy when I saw that they offer a SS container. But it is useless because of the huge size difference and won’t make a smoothie for my husband and myself unless I make two. Why not just make the same size as the container that came with it? This is just not practical for smoothies as well as many of the recipes in the vitamix books. Who thought of this? Need to be fired. Please rethink and make one that is useful, not a mini size. Hope this review is readable because for whatever reason it is not letting me go back and reread it and correct when needed.

After using my Vitamix for over 10 years, I wanted an upgrade. The original container was making strange noises while mixing and was looking worn. I had wanted the stainless container for a while. It mixes and cleans like a dream. I went from the 64oz taller container to the shorter 48oz, but the transition was easy. I haven’t over filled it once and it feels like I have a new Vitamix. Fitting under the cabinet is icing on the cake. Here’s to another 10 years, or more!!

I just wish that the lid was not plastic. We are trying to avoid using plastic materials.

I’m so glad to have an option that isn’t plastic. It works great. I was worried about being able to clean around the bottom and thought it might be weird not being able to see in like you can with glass or plastic, but that doesn’t bother me. It’s easy enough to look in the top. And cleaning has not been difficult. I do rinse it out right away. I don’t let things harden in there, but I think even if they did, it would just need to soak and then for things actually release from around the blades pretty easily

The container is great but the stick to plush things down is cheap plastic and touches the tips of the blades. My 13 year old daughter made a smoothly and drank it. When I went to clean it the end of the stick was scraped up with bits of plastic scrapped off. I need to get a different type of stick.

Love it! Foods seem to mix up faster, smoothies stay so nice and cold.

This is really solid and so happy they finally made a SS container…been a Vitamix user for over 20 yrs and was looking forward to this day. If it is a tad heavy, and I wish they made one just a little bit smaller for a personal smoothie size, but it’s very nice for soups, sauces and larger smoothies.

Great improvement over the plastic container that I recently broke after 18 or so years. Unit is still going strong. Love my Vitamix!

It’s a great option to the plastic container. It’s sturdy and very likely will last for many many years.

Love the fact that I can reduce plastic with this. Looks good on the counter too. Works well, no complaints.

Love the SS option but not a fan of the cheap plastic tamper

I'm very happy with this container. I like knowing I'm decreasing my potential intake of microplastics. It cleans more easily than the plastic ones. The only negative for me is that it's significantly heavier than the plastic ones.

Nice, but why do a plastic lid? Should be metal or rubber.

its not as effective to grined up chunkier things as my original plastic one, and I expected that its easier to clean but things stuck to the bottom regularly
