Vornado Velocity HD Space Heater: Indoor Electric Fan Heater, 3 Settings, 1500W, Portable, ETL Listed, 100-300 sq. ft.

Heats my garage just enough to take the chill out of the air - comfortable for working. Bought a second one for my detached shop.

Very disappointed, Bought this heater because my potable space heater (17years) old, was loosing its blowing power. Very disappointed, my old one (17 yeas old) still blows more then this one. Very disappointed hope a lot of people don't buy this If you do be prepared to be let down. would NOT recommend this for any use.

I've owned Vornado heaters for years, my 21-year old model is still doing a great job in my bedroom after all these years. These units do not run or heat like infrared space heaters. They gently circulate air at a few degrees above the room temperature to slowly and steadily increase the room's temperature. I own a Velocity 5 as well, and it works great in my TV room. This "workshop" version is based on the same principle, but the velocity of air is three or four times faster than my other units and it heated my basement workshop (usually the coldest room in the house) like a charm last night. Due to the faster air flow it makes more noise than my other two, but its not an issue in a shop environment. I'll be trying it tonight in my uninsulated two car garage workshop (expected low of 19 degrees this evening) to see how it does there, but I'm confident it will do fine. I do wish that it had a thermostat feature as an alternative to just running continuously all the time, but in the cold of the garage it would probably run full time anyway. I don't expect the garage to be 75°, I find that it's easy to work in mid 50's to lower 60's temperatures in the shop as opposed to 35 or 40 degrees. Great products and customer service in my opinion, next time I need one, I'll buy Vornado.

I love the Vornado brand and products, I don't think I would purchase a different brand when it comes to fans. I own both space heater fans, but I think that this one needs to be pumped up a notch to make a clear difference between one and the other in efficiency and power. I used this one to heat up a food truck while I worked inside and it took a long time to warm up the space. I think it needs both, more rpm's and a hotter coil.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This heater has worked great for us in our outdoor shed. Our shed is about 200ft and this heater can keep the entire shed warm. The past few weeks if has been snowing here but I have started some projects that needed to be done and one I went in the shed and plugged the heater in the whole shed was warm in 30 minutes. The cord to the heater is 8 feet long making it easy to plug in and move around as needed. I feel comfortable and safe using this heater and not having to worry about dust collecting on it.

It also has a yellow lever that allows you to move the blower up or down, but you can move it as little as millimeters or inches so it is perfect to where you want. Blowes enough heat to warm up. Small room addition.

My garage is in insulated and often very cold so when I am Out there doing projects I crank this heater and it does a great job warming the area. Does the job quick and efficient!

Now when using it in my cold garage it really took a long time but it did eventually do the job. It is very nice and handy To be able to pick up and go.

But since we built a new shop we haven’t insulated it enough yet. I found this velocity whole room heater for his shop. It may be small in size but it definitely works great! Two speeds plus a fan speed. It didn’t take long at all for his shop to get nice and comfortable. It makes it so much better for him to work without freezing

It takes a little while to circulate the warmer air so don't expect to just turn it on and have scolding hot air out. It is nicely build and very sturdy plus its not huge so you can throw it inside of your car and travel with it easily. The fan does push hard so that's what I believe will push the heat around the room after a little while. The room did get warm it just takes a little while but that wasn't a big deal for me since I turned it on and went back in the house before going back into my closed up shop. In all its not the best but it will work you just have to give it time.

We hit below 10 degrees in my area and my home gets cold but with this heater my whole front room stays warm. It's the warmest part of my house. I love the easy functionality and the safety features are great to have. I love the automatic shut off if it were to fall over. The materials are durable and I love the style. Perfect size as well!

It can be adjusted to low or high heat or even just fan for your most comfortable setting. It’s lightweight and has a nice handle to easily transport it wherever you need it.

We have a shop at our home where my husband is a mechanic and when he turns on the heater it will heat up his whole shop while he is working.
