VTech KidiPet Kitten Quest

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughters have really enjoyed the VTech Kitten Quest as a fun, interactive video game they can take on the go. They love that they get to choose a kitten to adopt, name it, and care for it. Their favorite feature of the toy is getting on adventures from the kittens point of view. I love that there is also an educational aspect as well, with different activities and problem solving games mixed into the fun. The included adoption certificate and kitten care chart are such cute additions and let imaginative play continue outside of using an electronic device. The design is perfect for little hands, and the paw shaped controls are an adorable touch. I was also surprised at the quality of the screen and graphics. They are very clear and look good quality for the price point. It’s battery powered which makes it easy to bring in the car, on trips, or just around the house. Overall it’s a really cute combination of a virtual pet, video game and learning toy, that’s high quality and a good value.

I also really liked that it comes with a Kitten Care Chart. Since we have a real cat at home, it's a fun way for him to connect the game with real life and understand that taking care of a pet means feeding them, giving them fresh water, playing with them, and cleaning up after them. The Kitten design is adorable, and the paw-shaped buttons make it especially fun and easy for kids to use. Overall it’s cute, entertaining game that my son genuinely enjoyed.

Me and my husband bonded over video games when we first started dating and being able to introduce my toddler to video games with this toy is very nostalgic for me. We have so much fun playing together. And it’s a great way to work on his fine motor skills along with object, association, and action consequence. It’s a ton of fun and I highly recommend it.

No directions needed. The controls are very easy to use and understand. It feels sturdy and has some weight to it. The screen is a bit small but easy to see. It’s fun to travel with it and an easy thing to carry with you. It uses batteries, I would have perfered it to be chargeable.

It reminds me of the old school Tamagotchi, but with more to do. The kitten is adorable and the games are fun for both kids and adults. Not much to assemble. Great handheld.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5 year old loves this game. It took her a couple hours to learn to play it and it caused her a lot of frustration. The control knobs are really sensitive to touch. Eventually she figured it out. So if you have a kid that has never played video games before, there will be a learning curve. The tasks of the game are pretty simple, feed the cat, give it water and toys. Buy it also has mini games that can be played. The battery life is decent but I wish it was rechargeable. This game is good for long summer road trips.

The kids jumped right in easily setting up and selecting their character they will use to play the games with and take care of. They loved how it’s shaped like a kitty. 30 games to keep them occupied and even without rechargeable batteries, we don’t have issues with replacing frequently. Great for the car and on the go!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My child just recently turned 6 this summer. When I saw this cute VTech game I didn't know if she would like it or not. Thankfully she loved it plays with it quite often. It's simple to open once receiving. Just take out of the box and there's a on/off button and it made it very easy for my 6yr old to use. It has great sound, not to noisy, and picture on it which makes the game alot easier for both my child and me. I'm able to lower the sound if need be. The quality of this product is great and I'm very happy that my child got this

Children also have the chance to explore the world. They also have memories games to play finding missing pieces. It has over 30 adventures games to play.

It is perfect size to be held by a toddler, lights up perfectly with each sound, and very age appropriate. The design is so cute, and continues to keep my son's attention! He grins ear to ear when he can play!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm going to sound old but I really love it because it reminds me to the Tamagotchi I had when I was little (a game where I had to take care of an animal), but this one is even cuter!! I am obsessed with cats, I'm the cat lady and I love anything cat, and more orange cats (i have two orangeys). This is my dream made true if I was a little girl. It is so cute, it even comes with a certificate of adoption!! The design it is super original and the cutest! The rubbery soft paws are the controls!! The size is perfect for my 4 year old little hands, and it is light and easy to take anywhere. It is also very sturdy and resistant because my 1 year old has knocked it down and turn on/off 3 million times. The screen has an amazing resolution and the graphics are very colorful and nothing glitchy. It has two games, one where you take care of the kitty and another where the kitty goes in an adventure. The reason I gave it 4* is because the batteries run low very quick and I would have prefer it to had a charger. Also, it is kind of difficult for a kid that just turned 4, perhaps I'll rate it for kids 5 and up. My kid gets super frustrated because she's not good enough with the controls and sometimes she doesn't understand what she has to do. Also, when she plays for a little she gets mad/sad when she doesn't understand but she wants to keep playing and it is annoying.

She gets to feed them, bathe them, brush their fur, and play endlessly. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the cutest handheld gaming system with paw print joy sticks. It’s light weight and easy to hold even for small hands. I love how easy it’s to operate once the child gets the hang of everything. It’s got a big enough LED screen on it that you can see everything really nicely especially the graphics. I loved that we could adopt a cat and gave us choices which to me makes it personal for the child to feel like it’s more their cat and taking care of it. The colors are bright, it’s eye catching, keeps the child’s attention for a while with all the games, exploring the cat can do and you can play as the cat or just with the cat itself. The feeding, watering and bathroom breaks are on it as well as gaming for coins and etc. This has been perfect for those long car rides.

You adopt a kitten and raise it, and when they’re old enough you can take them out on quests, play games (as your cat) and is also tamagotchi like, in the fact that you need to make sure your cat has had enough food, sleep, etc. or it will not be able to play games. There was quite a few times that my daughter exclaimed with joy about her cat loving her because of the cute animations with hearts when she does something to take care of her cat. It’s pretty straight forward. A younger kid could get the hang of it pretty easily, although I think a child who can read would probably get more out of it. My daughter has become very into this video game and I’ve had to set time limits because she loves it!

While there are some challenging mini games, it's mostly exploration and taking care of your pet's needs. When you first play, the kitten needs play and food to grow, and it's fun to have the effort pay off as it grows into an adult cat. This is good for ages 4 and 5, I think, considering the difficulty level and amount of content included. It's very cute, great for road trips.
