This all-in-one tone-shaping tool combines optical compression, blendable overdrive, and a comprehensive four-band EQ section, allowing to sculpt a wide range of sounds, from warm cleans and punchy drive to gritty chords and crisp slap tones. Optical Compression for Smooth Sustain The Badwater features an always-on optical compressor at the beginning of the signal chain, providing smooth and transparent sustain. The Sustain knob allows to adjust the amount of compression, adding subtle sustain to notes and chords or squashing transients for a more aggressive sound. Blendable Drive with Voicing Options Add grit and growl to bass tone with the Badwater's blendable overdrive. The Voice toggle switch offers three distinct voicings, allowing to tailor the overdrive's character to liking. The Blend knob lets mix clean and overdriven signals, providing a wide range of textures from subtle warmth to full-on distortion. Four-Band EQ for Precision Tone Sculpting The Badwater's four-band EQ section provides extensive tone-shaping capabilities. Boost or cut the low and high frequencies with dedicated controls, and fine-tune sound with the sweepable Low Mid Frequency (LMF) and High Mid Frequency (HMF) knobs. Versatile Connectivity and Ground Lift The Badwater offers both 1/4" and XLR outputs, making it ideal for both stage and studio use. Use the XLR output to connect directly to a mixing console or audio interface, or use the 1/4" output to connect to amplifier. Both outputs can be used simultaneously for added flexibility.
