Directions are woefully insufficient, but the fasteners are easy enough to figure out. VERY wobbly when assembled. The fasteners are not engineered to have a "finished" look, so the cubes look as if you didn't complete the assembly but just gave up and are using half of them. Returning for a better quality product with a nicer look.
Nice simple wire shelves. They are a bit tricky to assemble and it would help to have a second person. You need a bit of hand strength to assemble the plastic connector pieces. If you use a configuration other than the simple 2 X 3 cubes, you may run out of the connector pieces and a box of extra connectors costs about $18 including shipping.
many years ago, my husband and i bought several sets of these cubes. i don't know what brand they were, but we bought them at target. anyway, i was updating my craft room and needed to store 12 x 12 paper and this, after hours of searching and comparing, was the solution i went with. they're not as sturdy and the ones from 16 years ago. out of the package, most of them were slightly warped. quite a few have chipped places. when i pressed them into the connectors, they bent. still, they're holding my paper pads. i made shelves using the squares and zip ties. i would recommend these with the understanding that they may have chips on them (if appearance is important) and they're not as sturdy as the ones from several years ago. at least they're not expensive.
Just what I wanted and needed for 12x12 inch paper storage in my craft room. Threw away the connectors, since they are unneccesary. Zip ties work much better and give strength to the unit, however it is assembled. I like the versatility of this product because it can be assembled in so many different ways depending on your needs. (FYI - I used two sets in order to make 3 paper storage racks, and still had a few leftover grid panels.)
