Closest to fresh I've tasted from something frozen

I always had this and other seafood fresh when I lived in Florida so I was ready to be disappointed with frozen mahi mahi but I was pleasantly surprised to find it was really good. All it’s missing is that fresh zing of course but otherwise this is the definitely a great substitute if you can’t get this fish fresh. If you’re wanting to try fish or you don’t really like the fishy taste, please get this. It’s so mild it tastes like chicken and I am very picky when it comes to fish because ironically I’m not a fan of super fishy tasting fish. I usually Jamaican jerk this or just fry it until it’s crispy on both sides with a lemon and oil vinaigrette and it is soo good.

De•freaking•licious!!

So easy. So good!! Great for a quick nutritious meal. Fried them up in some butter and simple seasoning. My 2 and 7 year old both inhaled it! We will buy this often. And will definitely stock up when they go on sale.

Allergic Reaction

The fish is delicious but the first time I ate it I developed pain in my legs and black spots on my fingers and hand later in the day I was confused if it could be the fish I thought I would see what would happen the next time I ate it. In reasearching the issue I found where you cannot eat this fish more than once a week. I ate another piece yesterday and woke up in the middle of the night with extreme pain in my legs. I checked my hand and again I had a black spot on my finger. I will be returning the fish to Target.

Yum

Honestly I was really surprised at how good these were. I seasoned them with some Italian herbs, lemon, and olive oil then air fried. Brought it to work the next day and it still tasted great after being in the microwave.

shocked to find these here

I was shocked to see Mahi Mahi sold here. I got them and liked they were individually packed. Nice 4 serving pieces, I ended up with one serving to make 4 tacos (2 in the image). great flavor, seasoned well and cooked on gas grill as was too hot to heat oven. will buy again and loved they were wild caught.

Tasty !!

Very good sautéed with some olive oil and butter .. I sautéed one small onion in olive oil and butter with some sea salt and pepper for about two minutes ... Then put two Mahi-mahi fillets into the same skillet together with the still uncooked onions .. Add a small amount of garlic salt directly onto the Mahi-mahi gives it some more flavor ... Make sure the fish is in contact with the skillet and cook until fish and onions together are Golden caramelized .. I like it served with rice .. Delicious !!

My New Favorite

No idea why this has low stars, this fish is great. It has a light flavor and the texture is kind of like moist chicken. I prepared it (an online recipe) with mainly minced garlic, lemon juice, butter, and tarragon. It was delicious with mash potatoes and variety veggies cooked with the same sauce idea. It’s perfect for people who are new to fish or want to try something different. It can lack in salt though so maybe marinate before cooking. Don’t overcook, you’ll mess it up!

Decent

Pretty good, for a frozen whitefish. A lot of this kind of frozen fish has a horrible strong fishy taste and odor, and this does not. The flip side being that there isn't very much flavor at all, and the texture is only okay. I would not serve it on its own, but it's well-suited to being accompanied by big flavors. I used it in a spicy stew, which was great.

Not bad but not great

Good price but contained a lot more connective tissue than I'm used to. Good flavor, smell and flesh color.
