Q: Is the white an off-white or a true bright white?

A: Our stools are somewhere between a crisp, bright white and an off white. I would describe them as being a soft white. We have a true bright white kitchen counter with flecks of silver and blue and the stools go very well with it. We also have a dining room table which has a painted, distressed off white base, and the stools appear to be very white while next to the dining room table. Hope this helps!

Q: How sturdy is the back on these chairs? Just worried that they could crack if too pressure put in them

A: That's a good question. Our chairs are at the kitchen island and get very light use. There are a total of 5 people who use the chairs, all of whom are adults (My husband and I and 3 adult children who do not live at home, but visit). The largest adult in our house is 6'4" and weighs about 240 lbs. So far, the chairs have held up really well, but no one really tests them either. If you have a rambunctious person or someone who is large sized, I would be a bit concerned about how they may hold up. We have had no issues with normal use.

Q: What are the dimensions of the seat? I saw someone said it is 17.5" wide, but what is the depth? I'm trying to find a cushion that will fit.

A: The cushion has a rounded back. Front across is 17 in. Front to back maximum is 15 1/2. Rounding starts 8 in. back.
submitted byKaren - 8 years agoA: The seat is 15 3/8" deep at it's center. But it is 13" deep on the right and left sides. You should know that the seat tapers toward the back, so it is only 16" wide at the back part of the seat, and it is 18" wide at the front edge of the seat. The shape of the seat is not a true rectangle. There is a curving of the backrest and there is a narrowing of the seat as it gets closer to the backrest. So, the back of the seat, closest to the backrest is 16" wide and it is 13" deep on each side. The front of the seat is 18" wide and the seat depth is 15 3/8" deep at the center of the seat. Hope this helps.

submitted byCJS - 8 years agoA: The stool arrives in two pieces. The four legs are already connected at the top and you simply screw that base onto the bottom of the seat. The back of the seat is already attached. It only takes a few minutes.

Perfect bar stools
I purchased a couple of other bar stools before trying these and I really like the look of them. I almost feel like they are a Pottery Barn dupe. They were extremely easy to put together. I put together 4 by myself in no time. They feel sturdy. They’re the perfect height and if my kids get food on them, they’ll wipe off just fine. Super happy with these!!

Poor quality wood concealed by nice paint
Nice-looking chair overall, but the quality of the wood beneath is subpar. Crosspiece at base of stool legs broke with minimal pressure to reveal a weak, pocked and knotted dowel. Purchased just 14 months ago. For the price, I expected better quality and certainly didn't think I needed to purchase a warranty to guard myself against things hidden under the surface.

Perfect for our space
We ordered two of these stools for our kitchen island, and it's a great piece for the price. The dark blue was a bit darker than we were expecting. It's a true navy, rather than the teal-ish hue in the pictures. That's honestly our only complaint. As a shorter, plus-size person, I find the seat width and height to be comfortable for sipping morning coffee, or sitting while my husband cleans the kitchen after dinner. The boxes they came in were quite big, but assembly was quick and easy.

Good, but flawed.
Really great barstools, they’re the exact vibe I’m going for. The paint is kind of inconsistent on the 3 I purchased -some is smooth, there are other parts that are rough- like it wasn’t dry before handled. One did come really damaged, but target sent a new one out that day and I got it the next day. Not too bad. The paint issue needs addressing, though.

Beware of quality and customer service
Have had these chairs for 13 months. My 10 month old baby’s high chair was strapped on to one of them and out of no where the leg of the chair snapped and the chair with my baby in it fell backwards. I’ve reached out to target twice now in hopes of them replacing the chair but I’ve had no response back. Highly disappointed in the customer service with this product.

The screw came through the top of the seat while putting it together. I didn't hear anything the first time the screw popped through but on the second screw I heard a crack. I called Target to return but have to take the damaged chair back into the store for full refund.
