The only thing I didn't like was that the picture didn't fill the screen, I had to manually adjust my picture settings on my TV to get full screen view. I've purchased other older movies and when converted to Bluray they give you a full wide screen. Still one of my favorites and a great movie though...see moreof the reviewer's review

Excellent Classic - Wish Oz was Widescreen 1080p

I loved Wizard of Oz growing up as a young girl. I use to have the VHS tape which was in HD back in the early SD TV days, no black bars, etc. However, the Blu-Ray I bought about a year ago after the re-release, it has black SD bars. This 1-disc 75th anniversary release is a bit of a disappointment. In my opinion, the 70th anniversary version is quite a bit better having a few more special features on 2 blu-ray & 1 DVD disc.
