Typically I’m a size M, but based on the reviews I ordered the XS. This dress is gigantically oversized, I was not even able to see the fashion vision. Also, my dress did not include the belt as shown in the Target photos, but I don’t see that as changing the fit enough to help most people. Because of the immense amount of excess fabric, I don’t recommend this dress for anyone smaller than an XL. In general, please don’t buy this dress, I think you will be extremely disappointed. However, the sz. XS will easily fit up to a 1X, and if you are 2X or larger, go with a S.

I thought I didn’t like this dress but I figured out I can fold the front so it looks like a wrap dress and it completely changed the look. Gave it a more sleek shape, raised the neckline and flattened the front. I also tied the string under the bust so it’s more empire waist. Now I love it but initially was going to return it. Love the pockets and the cotton fabric!

Target has taken 2 weeks to ship this and it’s still not here. I’m done.

As someone with a larger chest (34DDD), I’m always excited to find a dress that people say it’s too big and I’m in the minority on this one because I am a fan of this dress! I sized down from my typical medium to a small (5’0” 145lb) which was definitely the right call so I agree with that feedback. I’m also SO HAPPY to see 100% cotton dresses at Target this season with no plastic polyester junk! Otherwise, I think the trick to this dress is how you lay the fabric before tying it. I tried to show it in the photo, but if you fold each side of the back before tying, it creates two “seams” for the excess fabric to follow without making you look bigger than you are!

Very cute and comfortable! Runs big though! I had to size down. The material is really nice! Without the belt thing that comes with it the dress defiantly has no shape but I thought it was super cute with the belt!

Runs large! I'm a 16, and usually wear an XXL or XL. This was huge on me. I would need to size down to a large.

I normally wear an XL but saw the other reviews and got a L. It’s still a bit big but comfortable. It’s giving toga, if that’s your vibe. The length is perfect. The only real issue for me is the v-neckline dips way too low. Paired with it not being very fitted, it’s a recipe for disaster. If you have bigger boobs, it might be okay. I’m a B cup and would flash everyone if I bent at all 😂

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dress SO MUCH. As someone who has been pear shaped all her life and now has a menopause belly this dress is a DREAM. Yes, it does run huge. I normally wear a 2x (1x in A-Line Styles) but I went with the XL and XXL based on reviews. Oddly the XXL seems to fit smaller than the XL but this dress is so forgiving both work for me and I’m back to buy a 3rd because I NEVER want to be without this dress!!!!

5’8”, 170 lb, ordered a M and I think it was the right size. Pro: Pretty coral color. Con: Fabric was so lightweight and stiff that it pooched out in all the places it shouldn’t. Made me look hunchbacked, pregnant, and like my hip circumference just grew by 5 inches.

I should have read other reviews before purchasing. I am typically a 16 and ordered an XL. I could do a large, maybe a medium. I love the cut and coverage of the dress however it is oversized.

This reminded me of what Ariel wore on the beach after she got her legs. Way too big and tied with a rope. This dress is like 2 sizes too big and definitely see through. The v neck hits about 4 inches lower than the pictures. Not appropriate for work.

If you are purchasing online, be warn...the size chart is absolutely no help. I am about 190lbs with a rather large chest. I usually wear a XXL(17) or an XL (14/16) due to my big breasts. I started with an XL and it was huge. Then exchanged it for a L which was also too big. I've finally ordered a M which fits great. It seems that Target's clothes are becoming increasingly "generously" sized. Hey, but now I can say that I'm a size Medium (first time in my life). LOL

Dress is massive. Ordered the smallest size and it dwarfed me. Size way down if you order it and want something with some semblance of a shape.

Wanted to love this dress - in fact, Universal Threads is the only women clothing brand that is still tasteful and of a decent quality in Target, but - way too bulky, runs at least a size too large. Sadly, returning!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the fit of this dress. I typically wear a size large and this fit true to size. There was some extra fabric around the front but the tie waist helps improve the shape. The fabric is lightweight and perfect for summertime. This dress has nice, deep pockets. The gauze material and style give an ancient Grecian vibe. The cotton blend is a rare find and feels like nice quality. I received an incentive to write this review.
