I love all the Muck boots. But.. this is the first pair that dug into my Achilles tendon so badly I had to wear crocs for a week and ice every night. I got my usual size, the foot was comfortable, but not the back of the heel. Not sure if I got a defective pair.

Great fit all around. I took a slightly larger size to allow for heavy socks they work great even with lighter socks
Poor quality, terrible slippery tread

I am a big fan of this brand, and have had longevity out of the product. I bought two pairs of the hale type one year ago. They have split open. The treads on these boots really attract the muck. It’s impossible to get the dirt out of the treads. They are extremely slippery on ice or snow.

I bought these boots last September and both shoes began to leak in the same exact places. The rubber came apart on the same places on both shoes so I figured it was a flaw with the shoe and tried to reach out to muck boot twice and never got any response. They where my first pair of muck boots I had bought online. I loved all the other muck boots I have bought in stores in the past.
Happy so far

A seam split on my old Pajars so I started reading reviews of possible replacements. I’d narrowed it down to Hunter Field Balmorals and Le Chameau when I came across reviews for Muck boots that panned Hunters and claimed Mucks were the best. These were by people who worked in barns a lot. My other rain boots are a pair of Aigle Parcours that I’ve had for about twelve years. They’re comfortable, still waterproof and easy to get on and off but they bunch a bit just above the ankles and the colour is fading. The Pajars I was replacing had neoprene on the leg part and so did the Muck Hales. That and the good reviews were the deciding factors. I’ve had them for a little over a month now, have worn them in heavy rain, on city sidewalks, through puddles in the alleys and on trails in the park. I got my usual size and find them roomy and comfortable. They’re warmer than my Pajars were and than my Aigles. I’m happy enough with them so far that, as the temperature drops, I’m considering getting a pair of the Muck lined ones with Arctic Grip soles to wear in the winter. I don’t expect any of these kind of boots to perform well on slippery ice - I’ve got crampons for that - or in -30 C but, with a pair of good socks, they might be warm enough most days in the winter.
Essentially a fashion boot for dry weather

I’m a professional dog walk in the PNW where it rains, a lot! I wanted a pair or waterproof, comfortable boots for rainy days. These seemed to be it. However I write this from the forest where I’ve just slipped in the mud for the second time in one walk. So far the complete lack of traction these boots provide has sprained my thumb and ripped my favourite yoga pants. I’ve slipped at least once every time I’ve worn them. The fabric portion is also not waterproof so my legs get wet in heavy downpours. I assumed it as neoprene but whatever it is it’s not waterproof. They are comfortable but probably best suited for city dog walks.
