I put together the table myself using the instructions. I made some fixable mistakes along the way, mostly due to being excited. The instructions mostly use pictograms with no words, so attention to detail is key. I installed the drawer not exactly flush with the edges which I don’t mind because it reminds me there’s a drawer there, but if you’re a perfectionist, you could probably do better. The inside of the drawer looks a little cheap, but not too bad based on the low sale price, and perhaps the higher contrast will make finding items in there easier. The drawer also doesn’t have that slow closing feature some drawers have, but I expect that design is something you’d have to pay top dollar for. Maybe not, maybe you could even buy the hardware separately and replace it if that slow closing feature is a dealbreaker/dealmaker for you! The wood color is darker than the pictures in the preview but I think that makes it less distracting, and the color is very easy on the eyes. The table is sturdy, but not excessively heavy. The storage space is perfect for the basket I use for my cats’ food and treats which was not something I measured so I am very happy about that. Perhaps it’s some sort of standard storage width, I dunno! Anyway, thanks so much to everyone involved in getting this coffee table to me - only two days after I bought it, by the way!
