Here’s why: Food Safety: Paints and sealants may contain chemicals that are not food-safe and could leach into your food. Durability: The paint layer will not withstand repeated washing and cutting, and will likely chip or peel over time, compromising both the appearance and food safety. However, if you'd like to personalize it, a safe alternative is to paint or decorate the sides or the back of the board (the non-cutting surface) using food-safe, non-toxic paints or wood stains. After decorating, ensure you only use the untreated side for food preparation.

A: Dear Customer, Thank you for your question. No, absolutely not. Our bamboo cutting board is NOT designed to be used on any stovetop, including electric coil stoves. Placing it on a heat source like a stove coil is a fire hazard and will cause the board to: Catch Fire: Bamboo is a wood-based material and is highly flammable. Warp, Crack, or Melt: The intense, direct heat will permanently damage and destroy the board. This cutting board is designed for food preparation tasks like cutting, slicing, and serving. It should always be kept away from direct heat sources. For your safety, please use it only as intended.
