Attachments
What attachments can be used with the 40V brushless trimmer? I’m considering purchasing one but need more details before I decide. I have other Worx tools and this will definitely fit in well with my other Worx tools. Also can a steel wire brush head be attached in place of the nylon line?

The WORX WG186 Nitro 40V string trimmer is part of the DriveShare attachment-capable system, allowing it to work with multiple interchangeable tool heads for expanded functionality. Based on the correct attachment lineup, compatible options include the WA0223 lawn edger attachment, which creates clean, defined edges along sidewalks and driveways; the WA0222 pole saw attachment, designed for trimming and cutting overhead branches; the WA0221 brush cutter attachment, which features a heavy-duty steel blade for clearing thick weeds and dense brush; and the WA0220 hedge trimmer attachment, ideal for shaping and maintaining shrubs and hedges. These attachments connect through the split-shaft design, effectively turning the WG186 into a versatile multi‑tool system for a wide range of yard tasks. While the brush cutter attachment uses a steel blade for tougher applications, the unit is not designed for steel wire brush heads, so those should not be used; the WA0221 brush cutter is the proper and approved solution for heavy-duty cutting. Something to consider
If you don't have other Worx batteries, then I wouldn't bother purchasing the item. This is my second one and it works fine for .5 acre or less. The first trimer was about 4 to 5 years. Wouldn't expect a very long life. Not so good on thicker weeds. Does well on Saint Augustine/Bermuda grass. Hope that helps.

Works very well with attachments!!
It works pretty well as a trimmer, but most of the time us my WG162.9 for trimming. What I really like is how it performs with the Ryobi tiller attachment! I did do a little modification be cutting off 5/8 of inch tubbing of the Ryobi and had to move the lock spring button down because of that. This allowed more drive cable to be accessed becuase it seemed to be just a little short before the mod. Just used a small pop rivet to hold the spring lock back in. Removed the stim out of pop rivet and smashed it down with some small needle nose vice grips. This worx works great with that tiller head,,, lots of power. I did put the handle that came with the Ryobi head on because of how heavy duty that attachment is. Going to do the same thing with the Ryobi Snow Thrower when I buy that next fall. I do enjoy my worx products!

better than gas
I was amazed at the quality of the speed and how easy it was to use compared to a gas, heavy trimmer. I highly recommend this particular model because you can add on the of the tools which makes us even more powerful

The evolution of battery power!
That attachment options are amazing. I sold my gas powered edger as the power from the batteries was better. Having one main tool with options like edging, grass trimming, to brush trimming has reduced the number of separate tools and clutter I had in my garage. I have been a WORX user for 10 plus years and they keep improving on what can be done by battery power. Thank you from this happy, dedicated customer!!

Expect the Best Value from WORX
I found this tool to be an Incredible value. It was easy to work with, tough and well priced. Extremely powerful and useful with the multi attachments. It cut my yard maintenance time to 1/3 of what it was. Cuts any size weeds and brush with 1/2" diameter no problem. Thanks again WORX. I recently built a tiny home using your tools and they are still going strong! Save big $ with interchangeable batteries :)

I’m extremely impressed with this string trimmer! It honeslty performs just like a gas powered trimmer, but without the noise, fumes, or the hassle of purchasing fuel. The battery life is outstanding. I haven’t had to worry about running out of power. The eco mode is a great feature too, allowing me to extend battery life when full power isn’t necessary. What really sets it apart is the Driveshare system. Swapping attachments is quick and effortless, making it incredibly versatile for yard work. Great product, but much too expensive
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The prices have gone up so much on these since the tariffs were announced. Now that the tariffs are gone, the cost is still high. Competitors are much less expensive, which is a bummer, because I love Worx products. The product is great but is more expensive than I would expect it to be. Hopefully pricing comes down soon!

Driveshare Line feed horrible
I have a Worx wall in my garage which has most of my WORX tools. I have one of your string trimmers that works great. When the driveshare multi attachment tool was offered I grabbed it. First time I used it the string head came off. I am very dissapointed with this tool . I have the pole saw and brush cutter attachments but may not use these. Can someone let me know how a tool that is new have a string head come off when it is first used

Weeding
I could be very happy with this product if I could figure out how to get the string rewound. I let it get to short and know it is in the spool and I can't get it back thru access holes. A good set of directions or a video would be nice. I figure if I take the head off completely it will unwind all the string. I have used your string trimmers before and love them but this one has me stumped.

Trimmer Upgrade

Having moved to a smaller house with more property I needed a bigger trimmer and boy is this thing a trimmer. Very very I can't trim and clean up around the yard and in less time than I ever thought possible.

The batteries on full charge will not get my yard completely trimmed. I purchased the blower with 2 more batteries and charger and still cannot get my yard done with 4 fully charged batteries. Love the tool, not the batteries!

Worx Nitro 40V Power Share Cordless String trimmer is an excellent tool for maintaining my yard and my lawn. I had other Worx products before, and it is a great feature that you can use the same batteries in all of the products. It is very easy to switch from one accesory to another one (for example, from string trimmer to bush cutter). Batteries last for more than one hour each charge (20V 4.0Ah). I strongly recommend this product.
