Description
Full of quality-of-life features and easy to use, the 15” – 5.5-Amp Electric Grass Trimmer/Edger from Worx leaves lawns looking sharp and users free of fatigue. It’s only 6 lbs, so almost anyone can pick it up and help with the yard work. And with an adjustable handle and telescoping shaft, it can be made to fit landscape artists of all sizes. The automatic feed dual-line system dispenses the right amount of string when you need it, out of two exit points, doubling the coverage compared to some other trimmers. And let’s talk about that line for a second. It’s our patented DoubleHelix DNALINE2, with 100 lbs of tensile strength. It’s designed to withstand breakage, and the aerodynamic oval shape cuts through the air and the grass, reducing drag. The 0.065” diameter is the same gauge that professional landscaping crews use on their grass trimmers, so you’ll get professional-grade results. This model has a 15” cutting diameter. That’s large enough to make smooth, even passes, but narrow enough so that you can still get in-between trees and shrubs without much problem. But the real reason this string trimmer is such a value is because it’s also an edger. Just rotate the shaft and the head turns on its side so that you can cut crisp, long lines along driveways and curbs.

Advertised as self feeding but it's not. And the cords melt and fuse no matter what cord I use they say it's because of vibration when weed eating against a hard surface but all concrete and brick is hard I think it's just poorly designed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this to review. It was easy to use and had some power to it. My husband loves how slim it is to store. It did its job and left no room for complaints.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not the most top of the line, but it gets the job done. Not saying it's low quality at all, great mid line item. We have a small yard so the electric version was just fine. Nice not dealing with gas.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this to do some trimming before having company over and it worked great! It has lots of power for the size and weight and is very efficient. It easily coverts from a trimmer to an edger to double as 2 great tools in one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, worx generally seems to make great products but this one knocks it out of the park. It's easy to handle and makes a very efficient cut. This is a must have in your shed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over the years I have had several string trimmers and have had great luck with them. They are easily handled by even a woman. The wheel lets you cut evenly and I love how you can change the wheel to cut on an angle when doing the edges of the lawn and walkway .I have passed some of these trimmers to my grandsons and they were very happy to have these great tools given to them because they worked so .Also having free spools was a blessing to senior on a fixed income .Thanks Worx for inventing such helpful products !!!

Since I retired 16 year ago, I have been volunteering at my church doing landscaping/yardwork. I have 72 acres to maintain. I will only use the Worx Electric String Trimmer for all my trimming. I love how lightweight and portable it is. Also no gas fumes or loud motor. I have a collection of about 7 batteries that I keep charged so that I can keep trimming for hours without stopping. My trimmer really takes a beating with so much trimming around trees, ponds, gardens, etc. I would be lost without it- seriously.
Surprisingly good trimmer. But...

A surprisingly good trimmer, but the entire head flipped sideways when trimming around a tree. I think the string got caught on an ivy-type weed and then it flipped sideways. See pic. Now what do I do?

I am a small person and have difficulty handling the gas trimmers. This one is light enough to use for long periods of time. This is the third one I have purchased over the last 18 years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am simply trying to write a positive letter to you about your tools that I have bought, and your website makes it impossible: I have bought a number of your battery operated tools. I am completely happy with all of them. They perform well and I have never had a problem with any of them. I have bought battery powered or gas powered tools in the past from other companies, but most often they only function for about a year or so. Not yours. Again. I am most happy with your tools. The only thing that I think that you could improve on is the ability for people to contact you more easily in your webpage.

Poor string trimmer

I bought this as a bast up to my gas weed eater. First off it did not self feed the string. Had to stop and manually pull the string out. The string and it is just that string. This is way to small to try to edge with. I will keep it as a backup but would hate to have to make it my main trimmer.

Thank you for sharing your experience and review! We recommend unwinding and rewinding the spool to make sure the line is not overlapping or stuck together. Since the trim line is biodegradable, it can melt and stick together causing the line to not feed properly. If it's still not working, you can try another spool; it may be that particular spool has a problem feeding the line or breaking easily. You can also try resetting the auto feed system by pressing the small square reset button on the bottom of the trimmer. It is located below the eyelet where your line feeds out on the trimmer head. If you press that 3 times, the auto feed system will reset and the line will come out properly. Be sure not to pull the line out by hand. This will tighten the line around the spool defeating the purpose of the auto feed feature. Thank you for choosing Worx!

This is by far the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. Last June I purchased a 3 tool kit. I couldn’t get my products registered the system was down for like a month. I repeatedly sent emails and after a few responses telling me the system is being updated I still never got my products registered. Now the trimmer handle has been broke the entire time. I didn’t believe my son when he told me since it was the first time he used it but had to weedeat myself and the bar will not stay together like it’s missing something. So last Friday I call and they conveniently return my call 5 minutes before close she was leaving the message when I grabbed it and immediately called back and they were already closed. Yesterday phone was not available, so I attempted chat and it would say 38 minutes 45 minutes then 53 minutes but after each attempt I would receive an email telling me the chat was ended I never got to speak to anyone. It continued to show to be loading but no connection. Sometimes it was the same time initiated or a couple minutes later. I called at 9:30 this morning for my call to be returned in the order received snd got a call back that I missed and of course now I can’t get back in touch again. I need this equipment replaced as it’s under warranty. I’ve literally NEVER dealt with a worse company. I won’t ever buy this brand again.

I bought this a month ago and have used it 3 times. On the third time, the spool it came with fell off and could not be used again. The spool was only about 8 inches and the replacement spool was not sold at the same store. I am not happy that it was not a full spool and should be specified on the box rather than state that the spool is included. It is a one time use or until it breaks. Put in a complaint at the store and said go buy it online and can't help with included spool. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Bought this the beginning of last summer. It worked real good until it didnt work any more when i tried to use it the beginning of this summer. The switch in the trigger section trips and shuts down. Only works for a half second. Once in a while after 15 or so clicks it will run for about 2-3 seconds.
