Mower works well. Self-propel works well for uneven large areas. Batteries charge quickly. some difficulty following directions in manual. Pictures should be larger or accompanied with words.

I was so excited when I bought this mower last spring. It sounded like the perfect match for my needs. Well, it is not even close. The description talks about it being perfect for yards up to 1/2 an acre on a single charge. I have 1/3 acre property, and I cannot even mow the front yard on TWO full charges on their 5.0Ah batteries they recommend! To make it worse, that is without even using the self-propelled feature AND cutting at the highest setting. My goodness. I keep buying replacement batteries which have me out additional hundreds of dollars. I am so over it. I am THOROUGHLY dissatisfied with his purchase, and up until this point, I have been someone that speaks highly of Worx branded things.

The lawn mower is a real gem. It does everything a mower should do and then some. Perfect tool for our yard. My only issue is that some of the operating instructions aren't as clear as they need to be for us seniors. Engaging the self-propelled and dis-engaging it when you need to change direction isn't spelled out too clearly, took a little use to get the hang of it. But when I did it was lots of fun cutting the grass.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my new mower and it is so much better than the gas powered one that I own. No more pulling until your arm falls off to get it started. I really like the option to bag, mulch and shoot grass out the back instead of the side. It's super easy to use and very minimal put together. I've not gotten to really put it to the test yet because it is still cold here but the bit I did use it was very nice. I'm excited for when I do have to finally cut grass. Lol

Only good thing is it starts easy. Gas mower in my yard done with complete yard 45 min. Can’t lower blade lower than highest cut or can’t get yard mowed in two battery charges. Yard looks like grass chewed off. Run on very slow self propelled mode to save batteries. Correct batteries are always out of stock to have some charging while mowing or at least ready. At first thought operator errors because different. Box got wet and destroyed and did not get pachsged for return. I’m so sorry for this HUGE purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this mower about 2 months ago and the first full charge lasted about 40 min with the self propelled feature and I still had some left to run the weed whip around the edges. Every full charge since has lasted about 30 min without using the self-propulsion... 5.0ah batteries should last a heck of a lot longer than that, especially when not using the mower to the fullest with the drive motor... very disappointed in this product, mower is great, batteries are crap...

Safety Feature Works!

I purchased last year’s model and have used it on steep hills. The locking wheel feature saved me more than once. What another reviewer said about locking wheels is not quite correct. The wheels unlock after a few seconds. This holds the mower to avoid slipping but releases it so you can continue. This mower consistently does a great job. I use the mulching feature all the time and love how leaves, grass and anything small becomes fine mulch. I never have to rake excess grass and I don’t cut the grass very often.

Although the lawnmower is supposed to be able to handle multiple types of terrain, when I use it on my hill to mow half way up and then pull it backwards, the self-propelled is locked, and the wheels are locked, and I have to lift the back of the lawnmower up to get it down the hill. It’s a safety issue and it’s an irritating issue and I would never buy this lawnmower again because of it. I have to pay my Neighbor to mow my hill with his lawnmower that is not a Worx lawnmower.

My front yard is about a quarter acre with lots of obstacles. It takes me about an hour and a half to mow. Yes, I am slow. I usually let my Landroid take care of it, but due to road construction the boundary wire has been clipped. I'm happy with the performance of this mower and the self-propelled feature is a must for me. The only issues that I have had is that it takes three sets of batteries to finish the job. This is not a problem because I have multiple Worx tools, but if this was someone's first purchase it would be frustrating. Oh, and the front wheel fell off this morning. It was simple to reattach it, but I am really surprised that it happened. This is the mower's first season and it makes me a little concerned about its longevity.

I like Worx products and was excited to try this mower. After using it for 6 months, I can say it has a few good features and many bad features. I would not purchase it again. The Good: Nice sturdy deck and great storage design. Wheels are nice quality as well as making height adjustments. The bagger seems to be well made, but I have never used it. The Bad: Awkard handle design with 2 opposing bails makes the self propel feature a nuisance. Everthing has to be timed perfect to release the bail before turning to be able to "free wheel" the back wheels for tight turn (think going back in forth in a fenced yard), all the while holding in the blade engage bail. It is a very cumbersome design only suited for highly coordinated people. The auto sense feature is terrible it usually speeds up after you pass through a thick clump of grass. A simple manual boost button/blade throttle would have suficied. The battery life is not great, I have a small yard (4500 ftsq) if I self propel they are near spent, I push it 99% of the time (as mentioned) and have 2 bars left of 5. The organge break down handle releases are beyond terrible and catch on numerous things in tight quarters, such as fencing, gutters, walls etc. (did any Worx designers actually even test this?) Lastly the cut is only so-so at best, It does not have the suction of gas mower and it shows in the quality of the cut. I think if they had a higher RPM motor and a bigger battery bank it could have competed. I will use this mower until it needs to be replaced but it will not be with a Worx, and I have numerous tools from them and for the most part all of them great. One other thing is the blade, it is light weight and needs to be sharpened way more than a gas unit to have any hope of acheiving a half decent cut. Lastly where is the Manual??? Come on Worxs I expected better from you on this.

Just started my second season with this lawnmower. I have mowed my lawn 4 times this spring and the batteries have not lasted long enough to cut both back and front lawns. They are not big area. One is 30 feet by 30 feet and the other is 30 by 40. My blade was sharpened and it still did not make a difference.I would not recommend this mower.

I was immediately surprised how cheap the materials were. But I assumed it was the price point. However I was frustrated by the lack of power and the fact it won't allow me to lower the blade and cut the grass as short as I like. But the real problem began about 6 months after i bought it, the plastic switch that allows you to fold and store the mower just broke. I didn't want to deal with returns or repairs so I dealt with it. Not long after, the self propell mechanism stopped working. It just makes a rubbing noise like gears are stripped. This year I pulled the mower out for the first time and the handle completely broke off. That caused lever to over extend and the plastic parts in the controls broke. Judging from the cheap materials used in this product I would absolutely avoid it.

I bought this mower thinking I would get more capabilities and battery life, but the batteries don't even compare to my old Worx mower. Now I can't even finish my front and back yard. Forget about using the self-propel option, which uses even more battery. I have to pick two separate days to mow my lawn which is not convenient considering I care for my dad at his house 5 days of the week.

I'm disappointed to type this because I love my Worx trimmer and leaf blower. I have a smaller yard, about 1/3 of an acre. I bought the mower last September, and didn't used it from November-late March. In some cases, I can get through 3/4 of the yard before the batteries die. Recently, I can get through about half of the yard. It's very frustrating having to mow this smallish yard separate times because the batteries don't last. When they run out of juice, they're too hot to charge right away. I don't know if my batteries are bad, or if they just don't last long. The mower itself does cut very nicely and always starts.

Great Mower with Quality Features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just purchased the Nitro 80V mower and I was presently surprised as to the overall quality and how well it was designed for easy usage and durability. My previous mower was a gas powered Toro personal pace model which served me quite well, and henceforth my standards were quite high when comparing these mowers. PROS: 1. Just mowed less than 1/2 acre, and the battery still shows between 1/3 and 1/2 capacity still left. 2. The cut quality was quite excellent. 3. The mower is very quiet compared to my gas mower. 4. The speed control for the self-propelled drive is quite easy to adjust. 5. Love the feature that allows you to easily remove the entire battery pack which makes it quite easy to recharge all of the batteries at once. 6. By removing this battery pack, it allows you to easily clean the top and bottom of the mower deck. Also the underside of the deck is designed for easy cleaning without any hard to clean cavities like some mowers have. CONS: 1. The mower has a tendency to take off very fast when the self-propelled drive is engaged. This only occurs for a brief second or two, but it is easy to get used to. 2. The owners manual is extremely difficult to understand and is totally useless. 3. There needs to be a replacement parts guide that also shows the correct part numbers for each item. Right now there is nothing available. 4. Long battery charge time. 4+ Hours
