Description
The Worx NITRO 40V 16" Push Lawn Mower offers a convenient and easy-to-use power-packed solution for keeping smaller yards in picture-perfect shape.
This cordless mower is outfitted with a Brushless Motor 2.0, which runs 10% longer and delivers 40% more power than first-gen brushless motors. Plus, it lasts 10X longer than a standard brushed motor.
Thanks to IntelliCut™ Technology, this lawn mower works smarter, saving battery power for when you need it the most. It automatically picks up cutting speed to plow through thick grass and slows down in less-dense areas to boost runtime.
This walk-behind lawn mower runs on PowerShare batteries, compatible with 140+ Worx cordless tools, outdoor power and lifestyle products on the PowerShare platform. When powered with the included (2) 20V 4.0Ah PowerShare Pro, this mower delivers optimal runtime that is ideal for mowing yards up to 1/4 acre.
Mowing is a breeze thanks to the specialty mulch blade. It's unique design cuts fine clippings, delivering precise and efficient results so you only don't have to make multiple passes over the same area. The finer clippings also ensure more grass gets into the bag, so you don't need to empty it as frequently.
With a 2-in-1 design, this battery powered lawn mower easily switches between bagging and mulching. When you want to mulch, simply use the included mulch plug.
There's plenty of features that make the mowing experience effortless. Easily change cutting heights with single-lever height adjustment. It offers 6 height positions between 1.5" and 3.5". It's also incredibly easy to maneuver thanks to its lightweight 33.8-lb profile. The compact 16" cutting deck, also allows for mowing narrow pathways and saving on storage space. Starting is a breeze—just press the quick-start push button to get running. And as you mow, you can count on extra peace, as it runs much quieter than gas alternatives at 96 dB.

Q: Is the height of the handle adjustable for shorter people?

A Nice Electric Mower on Cheap Wheels

This is a nice, compact, electric mower that “Worx” great for my ~1500 sq ft lawn. It has plenty of power and charge to do the job well. I appreciate the multiple options for length as I sometimes like to keep my fescue/bluegrass blend on the taller side. It is also nice to have the option to bag or mulch, depending on season or job. My only complaint is the cheap feeling plastic wheels, which don’t turn especially well. I wish they used similar wheels to the never-flat ones on the Worx Aerocart.

The very best mower for tight and small areas. Compact in size. Cuts like the big ones. Stores easily. Price was perfect. Purchased to cut in child's play area where a rider couldn't fit. Shortened the weed eating time because this mower gets where a regular mower couldn't. Could also be used in larger areas. No gas or oil or cords to deal with. Battery lasts the entire mow time. Love this machine!!!

I've had this fine specimen for 3 years now. I have a fairly small lawn. The batteries, when I first got them, usually lasted the whole whole 5,000 ft. That's front and back of my house. Lately, and it's been 3 years, it doesn't quite make it to the whole 5000 square feet. I think that isn't unreasonable. The batteries do get hot and can't be charged until they cool down. The charger will flash red, meaning they are too hot and need to wait. I wouldn't say they charge in an hour, more like a couple. I have other worx products that I use to trim etc to fill that time until it's ready to go again. The blade is simple to take off, but I don't have the right tool for sharpening the blade, so I've bought a couple new ones. I'd recommend the other tools that work with the same batteries. As long as you have enough, I have five that have come with my other tools, I don't have a problem. For a small yard, I would recommend this mower. It is adorable and your neighbors will be amused.

The mower is lightweight and is perfect for my new smaller yard. The battery power is just right and increases the engine speed as you go through thicker grass. I have a smaller yard, so if yours is larger, such as a .20 acre or larger lot, you will most likely want extra batteries. I went from a 21-inch blade to this 16-inch blade, so it does take a little longer. I just figure I am getting my steps in.

I bought this Worx WG779 mower to replace an eleven year old 12 inch electric mower. Earlier in the year, I had purchased a Worx trimmer that I am very pleased with, so I thought the Worx mowers would perform well. PROS: Minimal easy assembly out of the box. Lightweight and easy to maneuver in tight spaces. Sweeps clean after use. Battery charges in a reasonable amount of time and battery life is good. Charge indicators are great. Grass bag is sturdy and easy to empty. CONS: Seriously under powered. When the mower is first turned on it runs at a speed I would expect to use cutting grass, however the power level drops after a few seconds. It is much louder than I had expected at the high speed and about the same noise level as my electric mower when running at the low speed. The Worx mower will cut dry sparse grass in one pass, but requires two or three passes on lush grass or in slightly damp spots. The product details state this mower features IntelliCut technology, but there was NO increase in torque when moving the mower from thin to thick grass. The mower did effectively bag the grass clippings. This Worx mower did not even come close to cutting a small lawn as efficiently as my old electric mower, which is on its last legs. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed with the Worx WG779 mower and regret the purchase.

I was very happy with this lawn mower. It has adjustable heights and runs well. it exceeded my expectations. I'm using it to clean up around the sidewalk and the small patch in front of the house. I needed it real bad to get around the low hanging branches of my apple trees. It works great!!

I bought this for my son because he has a small section of grass behind his townhome that he’s responsible for because it’s fenced in. When it operates, it really doesn’t cut the grass cleanly. I would say it just kind of tears it not really impressed when it’s operation.

I wanted a small and light lawn mower. This fits the bill. I dislike how the handles are attached. It takes some time to get the tightness just right and the teeth do not slot into each other nicely. I am worried that over time these plastic parts will snap off.
