Description
The 20V 2-in-1 Axis Reciprocating/Jig Saw from Worx saves you time, money, and its compact design saves you from the ache in your hands and arms that typically come with using saws like these. At only 4.2 lbs, this tool is easy to control, which is essential for the complicated designs you expect to cut with a jigsaw. And its vibration-absorbing soft grip handle cuts down on much of the unpleasant motion that’s inherent in using a reciprocating saw. It runs at 3000 rpms with a 0.75” stroke length, which is enough to cut 2” into wood and PVC pipe and go 5/32” into steel plate as a jigsaw, and as a reciprocating saw it’ll cut 2” into wood, PVC, and steel pipe. The LED headlamp illuminates dark work areas. And the off switch locks into place to guard against accidental starts. The tool-free blade change system is easy to use and accepts all common reciprocating saw and jigsaw blades that you’ll find at any local hardware store. Don’t buy separate jig and reciprocating saws when the Axis was built from the ground up to accomplish the tasks of both in less time and with less strain on the user. This Axis comes with a 20V 1.5 Ah battery and 0.4A charger, which you can use with any tool in the Worx Power Share family. You save money in the long run when you can share batteries between the cordless tools in your collection.

Summary of reviews
This dual-purpose saw is a versatile addition to any toolkit, allowing guests to switch effortlessly between a reciprocating saw and a jigsaw. It is lightweight, easy to handle, and powerful enough for various projects, from trimming branches to cutting wood. While it excels in reciprocating mode, some guests noted challenges with the jigsaw feature due to the lack of a stabilizing wheel. Overall, it offers great convenience for both casual and serious DIY enthusiasts.

This is a handy two-in-one saw!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this dual-purpose saw to keep in the the bag of Worx battery powered tools I keep in my vehicle (along with my Worx mini air compressor, etc.). I've used it for a couple of projects, and really like the way the reciprocating saw feature works (think Sawzall). It is of sufficient power and works well. Where this tool falls down a big is when it's used in the jig saw configuration. Yes, it works, and I've completed a couple of projects with it. The issue is, that due to the design necessary to have a dual use, the jig saw lacks the little stabilizing wheel that rides on the back of the blade. Now the Worx dedicated jig saw has the wheel, so doesn't suffer the same problem. Which is, simply, that without that support, the blade can rather too easily become detached. Now, if one is careful to keep pressure applied to the cut, and makes sure the workpiece is held securely (tough to do with a thin piece of veneer, for instance) it does work. It works much better with thicker workpieces, but with thin, flexible materials, it may become frustrating. In summary, this is a convenient two-in-one tool. And it does function "good enough" in both configurations, though best as a reciprocating saw. For keeping in a mini tool kit, it makes sense. Honestly, this is pretty much the only of many, many Worx tools that I don't highly recommend. It's handy, but if I had to do it over again, I'd purchase the dedicated Worx jig saw and reciprocating saw. Sorry Worx, this is a great idea, and if you could somehow engineer in a support wheel use in jig saw mode, it would be awesome. As it is, its good, but not great.

Ever need to cut a hole and trim an end on a board? Knowing that you have one tool that can do both without finding one or the other is great! All I had to do was change the head position, slip out one blade and insert the other was so easy. Normally I get so frustrated because it requires two different tools: jigsaw to cut the hole then the reciprocal saw to trim the 2X4 end. No frustration for me now.

I am very impressed with the function and how long the small batteries last on both tools. I am also very pleased with the one hand versatility of the saws-all! Worth every penny.

I just installed a cedar fence around my backyard. I needed a tool that could cut some tree branches and also do some trimming on the fence panels. What a great tool, I cut some branches, then switching to the jig saw, cut some fence panels. It worked great and saved a lot of time.

very nice tool. easy to use. the saws all with pruning blade is very convenient. great for pruning trees and bushes. I live in Arizona and our trees grow more like giant sunbaked bushes. the wood is incurably hard. the saws all is very convient. I would recommend this tool for anyone who needs a way to prune around the yard. Switching to the jig saw is fast and easy. i

I purchased this tool because I already have Worx batteries that I use with various lawn tools. I thought it would compliment my garage tools. I was very pleased with how easy it was to go from cutting small branches on trees to cutting pieces of wood and metal for projects. The blades are easy to put in and switching from one saw to the next was simple. The battery is just fine for small projects and I use a 4.0AH battery if I know I'm doing a bigger project. One tool to do two different things. I am glad I purchased it.

Great tools but would get five stars but it takes five hours to charge a battery with the charger that comes with it run time about an hour and a half. Should come with a fast charger not a charger that takes 5 hours to charge a single battery so therefore it gets three stars. Could not get a full day of work out of the batteries on a weekend project.

I had been considering this tool for several years, and finally several tasks around the house made it seem worthwhile. The thought was correct. It cut down some branches of a Boxwood quickly and precisely, then took on a dead holly. Easy to use with a good load of power.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Axis 2 in 1 saw has been amazing. I used it to trim branches on a bush that would have been difficult using a conventional reciprocating saw. Being able to rotate the saw and the blade made the job a snap. Made some cuts on plastic fencing material with ease. My wife even tried it. Plenty of power from the 20V battery. They are balanced and easy to use. The battery removal is a bit of an issue. You have to firmly tap on bench to remove them from the tools. Hence the 4 star rating. The Impact Driver works well. It goes go into the impact mode a little early while driving screws, not a deal breaker by any means. It is well balanced and has good power. Overall, these are a great addition to any workshop. I highly recommend this kit.

I have had this saw for several years. Love it! I have lots of limbs that fall and are too big to break up by hand. This saw is easy to use and cuts even larger limbs so I can cut them into smaller sections to bag them for pick up.
