WWE Legends Classic Cage Action Figure Playset

Vintage Style and look of the legendary Blue Steel Cage! Old school LOGO also takes you back to yesteryears. Must have for any collector or WWF/WWE fan.

Better off buying this in store if you can. I purchased this online and they sent me one with a hole in the front of the box. Luckily it was small enough no pieces escaped, but Target needs to do better with their handling of online orders.

This is a great ring. Easy to put together and I like the classic look.

My son wanted the original wrestling ring but the cage one is all I could find and I noticed you can remove the cage itself from the ring and I really like that you can change it back and forth. It's nice and strong made as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ropes were tangled and tricky to unwind. Once I got that done construction was pretty simple. . The springy floor of the ring was pretty cool. I thought. I can see this being fun for kids. Unfortunately I had picked this to review with my grandson. He's not quite old enough yet. My fault. I did t lay attention to the age recommendation. So I can't say much more about the product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Assembly of the WWE Legends wresting ring and steel cage was fairly straightforward for an adult: inserting posts, looping elastic bands for the ropes, applying stickers (in the vintage logo!), and finally assembling the steel cage, which just required some snapping together -- and everything was ready for play! We dug out a few vintage '80-90s WWF-era wresting figures and had a blast simulating a few cage matches from that same era. My son received a history lesson on some of the historic cage matches, including the famous Mankind vs. Undertaker match. There are no other included accessories like in some previous ring playsets, like a championship belt, a staircase, commentators' monitors, tables, etc. Some of these are understandable since the steel cage itself would interfere with the inclusion of stairs or tables around the ring. However, the ring itself is quite nice: the mat is actually spring loaded, so you can simulate bounces after slams or front flips, etc. The steel cage is of course plastic as expected, but it can be easily slid off of the ring posts and stored either assembled or flat if so desired by unsnapping the sides of the cage from the clips. The addition of a door in the cage is a nice touch, so you can simulate ring entry through the door if you like, or you can pretend that the door is locked and require that the wrestlers must climb back out of the cage and land on the floor to win the match like some common cage-match rules. The ropes are elastic-y enough to simulate some good aerial maneuvers or having the wrestlers run and bounce around the ring. We have considered adding a top cover to the cage to simulate "H*** in a Cell" matches, but that of course is only possible when playing on the top or sides of the cage. When wanting to actually play inside the ring, a top cover is not possible, which is likely why one was not included. Overall, this playset is good fun and can be a great way to introduce younger kids to some of the history of WWE.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great nostalgic toy from the 90s. When we first opened the box I was surprised there wasn’t any instructions but it was still pretty easy to assemble. We like the spring action and it’s fairly a decent size to play with multiple action figures.

My boy also liked the fact that the floor was spring loaded, and was just like the real wrestling rings he sees on television. Great toy to accomodate your WWF action figures!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a wrestling fan from the 80s and 90s, this was a real treat to assemble with my son. So many memories of watching the steel cage matches back then. Assembly was a bit tricky, although my son figured out how to install the corner posts, and string up the elastic ropes. Getting the cage walls on was a bit more complicated however, as the brackets have to be oriented in just the right way for it all to fit. It was a bit fiddly, even for dad. Once assembled though this ring playset is very realistic in scale, and function, with a working door, realistic ropes that flex, and a springy suspended floor for the wrestlers to bounce off of. I have to take off one star however, as we were all under the impression that this set came with the four figurines pictured on the box. There was a bit if disappointment when we realized this was just the ring itself, and would have to go out and buy the figurines separately. I didn't see anything on the box that clearly stated "wrestlers not included." Would recommend, just know that it doesn't include any action figures.
