Q: Does it say anywhere on the bottle or on the packaging where the product was manufactured? The US or India?

submitted by Kristen - 5 years ago
  • A: The country of origin shown on each carton indicates the location from where the active ingredient is supplied. The exact wording states “Origin” and is located in proximity to the “Dist. By...” information on the Drug Facts labels. The finished product for the Oral Solution is manufactured and packaged at Chattem, Inc., a Sanofi Company, in the USA, and the finished product for the Tablet is manufactured in Switzerland and packaged by Chattem, Inc., a Sanofi company, in the USA.

  • A: yes, on the back of the packaging under the trademark area and the back of the bottle itself. You may go into stores and check the packaging yourself. The online images do not contain this information. I just got a batch from another retailer and they are from India. Last year I got a bottle from Target and it was from Switzerland.

Q: Does this help against allergies from cat dander?

submitted by Ceen - 3 years ago
  • A: Exposure to indoor and outdoor allergens (e.g., pollen, pet dander, or dust) causes the body to release histamine. Histamine produces allergic symptoms leading to inflammation in your nose and eyes. The active ingredient in Xyzal Allergy 24HR is levocetirizine which is an antihistamine that works to block the effect of histamine in the body.
